I've read this sentence about 5 times and it still makes no sense to me. I love the hedging btw.

If he would actually listen, yes he would be a great coach.

An announcement is not going to come soon if gruden is going to be our next coach, its just not happening.

Now that is behind us. I could see an announcement coming that could give us a clue but even that is far fetched but plausible. If there was a fallout with hart and the haslams and boosters did not like it. I could see a new ad named. In my opinion that would be.none other then Phillip Fulmer. Some people are suggesting something will happen today. What i would say is i think fulmer is being inducted into the hall of fame today. Is it possible he could be named ad today if in fact a fallout did occur at top level of management.

Any thoughts?

Coaching, for the most part, has been absent at UTK since Kiffen left. Don't bother flaming, I put on my fire retardant outfit before I hit submit post.

I'll use Jay Graham and the running backs as an example of what coaching can do.

Talk about a molder of young men. Could we ask for a better role model for our guys? That being said, I highly, highly, highly doubt he would be interested.

We were told that Tennessee would go after a BIG NAME coach... I do not want to be a Debbie Downer... but we have been promised a BIG NAME WINNER.....that is all we have heard from way back in Oct. these threads began will Dooley was still coach....

I NOW By G** want the University of Tennessee to live up to expectations and refuse to settle for second tier

It all boils down to players no matter who the coach is.We have got to be able to recruit at a highlevel on a national basis.Never forget Pat Summits Dads advice to her after a loss early in her coaching career.He said Pat u cant win the Kentucky Derby with jackasses.Thats country talk for you need to get better players.lol

I know CPF... he would do it if asked...no doubt,

but I do not believe he has been....not something i know but what I think

You guys are crazy. He's won his conference twice and in his third year is in a BCS bowl.

He's a great coach. If we miss on Gruden then Stoops ill gladly take Strong.

Am I the only one that sees the problemw with CPF being AD?
An AD has to be a businessman as well as knowledgable about ALL sports.
Would Fulmer have hired Dave Serrano or would he havee hired someoone else?
Would he have hired Bruce Pearl or would we have gotten another Buzz Peterson?
There's more to being an AD than dealing with football. Fulmer is a fine old man and a heckuva coach, but I wouldn't want to see him as AD.
There's that.
As for JG. I haven't lost hope yet, but I am also wondering why we haven't thrown everything we can at Gary Patterson yet...Seems like he should be #2 on our list of coaches we could feasibly get.
