Expectation management... This makes the most sense to me.

Currie knows we want Gruden. And he knows anyone but Gruden will disappoint us... So he intentionally leaked Schiano because he knew we would be outraged.

Now, he can come in and save the day with someone like Norvell or Brohm.

We wouldn’t have liked those hires when we were expecting Gruden. But now that we think it’s Schiano, those names sound a lot better.

I’m still Gruden until the end.. but I see this being a possibility.

If it is Schiano, I'm disappointed, simply because I would have thought we could do better. But I have a question for those who might know. Is there any proof Schiano knew about Sandusky, or only the words of Mike McQeary(spelling?) claiming he did? I know Schiano has maintained he did not know. I hate the idea of accusing a man of something so horrible with no tangible proof?

FAKE NEWS PEOPLE! GRUDEN IS ALMOST HERE!!! THis is just building hype so more coverage of the presser. It's about recruits. There is no better exhilaration than going from an extreme low to an all time high in a matter of a few minutes. ITs like thinking you found your Christmas present is a pile of dog crap and then you open a box and find a new deer rifle.!!!

I'm pretty pissed off even if it is a smokescreen. Use Coach Mcgooglename for the smokescreen instead of this POS.

I agree. I was just thinking this as well. It doesn’t pass the smell test. But I will say JP, I’m over the game play stuff. Just make the hire.

Wow....who are these new people? I am on this roller coaster until it comes to a stop! I refuse to believe that the Powers that be are on board with this supposed deal. Beaver is holding strong and the ones I trust are silent.

I am going to take a deep breath and step back!

Guys. Since when has USA today or ESPN for that matter had their finger on the pulse of TN? Do you really think Currie would call them up and tell them who we are hiring ahead of a presser announcement? Don't believe this homemade dog****.

Ha! Just about to say the same thing. Currie trots out Kiffin and we're all like, "Praise God, it's not Schiano."
