Someone talk me off the ledge...i was going to pursue my Graduate degree at UT when I retired from the military. This will definitely change those plans. Maybe UNC or Wake now.

Tennessee football had been a failing product for years, and Butch was hired to change that.

He seemed to have the intangibles for the job, the requisite energy and the right personality to sell his Volunteers vision to recruits and beaten-down fans. And he had slogans. “Brick by Brick” (2) was the slogan of choice at that time."

Why does he feel the need to be a hero though. And in this fashion? That's somewhat sadistic, and all-world egotistical to pull that on this fan base. And crazy.

I can’t figure any of this out for the life of me. How could we go from Gruden to Schiano?

There’s no way that there was this much smoke with no fire regarding Gruden.

All this money raised to end up with Schiano? No way. Something is terribly off here.

I see what they did there.....put out this to enrage fans and take focus away from Gruden being snuck into Knoxville. Otherwise he would have been seen.
