I didn’t feel the need to comment on this until now but Greg Schiano will not be hired or even looked at for UT. He failed his duty to humanity by knowing the horrors of Sandusky but not reporting them to the police. While I love smokescreens, this one is inappropriate.

Oh no here is the connection for Schiano and Currie!

This will mark the first significant hire for Currie, who arrived in February. Schiano brings a strong defensive acumen and his sell will be his experience running a program and developing players, as his Rutgers teams consistently developed NFL draft picks.

Schiano developed a relationship with Currie when he was out of coaching for two seasons following his short tenure in Tampa. At the time, Currie was at Kansas State managing the potential departure of Bill Snyder as head coach, which allowed him to treat nearly every year like he was going through a coaching search. Snyder still hasn’t left, but Currie had the ability to network and get to know potential candidates in a relaxed setting.

Has the Currie announced anyone as the next Head Football Coach at the University of Tennessee ? His letter specifically said if you don't hear it from me don't assume its true. Till we hear it from him your argument is invalid.

There's no requirement to attend UT to be a fan! If we hire Schiano, I'll be an Auburn fan and pursue a degree there, myself. It's really hard to pick another shade of orange that I'm alright with, but the shared hatred of Bama has always been a strong bond with my Auburn friends.
