I thought Tennessee was going to do things different this 4th time around. If Currie f this up he will not be employed 3-4 years from now. I will give up on Tennessee if this Schiano is hired or another lame ass coach is here and they will not get several 1000’s from me on tickets or apparel.

I say don’t hire anyone and save that money on stadium renovations. Just put in a huge Jumbotron and we’ll get together on Saturday’s and watch replays of games of yesteryears. Would be better than watching the program go up in flames.

I don't see that there is any way for Currie to look like a hero after the crap that has come out today. Whoever he hires instead of GS, will look like it was forced on him and he wasn't able to make a competent decision on his own.

Still on Gruden train.

Currie is a fool. If he hires Schiano then it is confirmed. After this crap that he has let out today I have lost all confidence in him. If he uses this as a smokescreen then he is a fool. Don't troll your on fanbase just so you can look like a hero. This has me completely lost.

I just cannot fathom why this was leaked in the first place. It could have been Sexton, but why?

I almost half wonder if the leaks were intentional from Currie in order to pressure a booster or Davenport.

If, as was reported, the AD was "testing the waters" for a potential Schiano hire as a fallback, then he seriously miscalculated.

This thing is blowing up and while I have said from the beginning that hiring Schiano would be a PR disaster (not even commenting on the validity of the PSU testimony), this has real ramifications.

Seriously, his effectiveness as a recruiter has just vanished, twitter is ablaze with accusations and innuendo, and our own politicians are involved.

How is it going to be possible for Ohio State to retain him?

If we had no intention of hiring him and this was a red herring, Currie should be fired, Gruden or no Gruden.

All due respect to everyone who has brought so much knowledge to these threads... I want it to still be Gruden, very much.

But someone explain why this Schiano thing hasn't been squashed if this is all part of some diabolical plan. This is a freaking mess!

No matter if they hire Schiano or have to pull the plug on the deal, Currie needs to go. If this was a smokescreen, it blew up in his face. If he is seriously considering hiring him he's incompetent.

If this is true then Currie needs to be fired for even contacting schiano. You don’t allow someone like that within 100 miles of campus, much less consider him to lead your most valuable athletic team. If true how in the world did Currie get to a level of AD of a major university? There is absolutely no excuse for this, none.

Never experienced anything like today. Wow. Just wow. What have we become? Vicious fans we are. Social media has changed us as a society and not sure I like it.

Still sitting back waiting for something official rather than breaking. Appreciate you knuck, exile, AV, beav, sfd, Boro, GV, hawk, etc, etc, etc. Remain on the train but want to say however this goes down, have had a better time here than with real football season this year.

Still Gruden until it comes from Currie’s mouth. These media people are the same ones who said Chip Kelly was “finalizing a deal” with Florida... right before he signed with UCLA.

Nothing of this magnitude has came out for him to squash. ESPN saying it’s official? Players tweeting? If this was untrue surely Currie isn’t dumb enough to sit back and watch
