I find it hard to believe Currie is that stupid to think people would have ever accepted Schiano. He said he was going to hire a man of integrity. I have to believe the media has screwed it all up with their guessing. We will find out at some point the truth. I am still holding on to my belief until it's official. SOON!!!! GRUDEN TO THE HILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regardless of who is ultimately hired, this is nonsensical. This whole process now appears haphazard and poorly contrived.

The amount of damage that has been done by the delays, subterfuge and misdirected leaks may in fact equal the amount of damage done by our on-the-field performance this year.

The idea that this is part of some intricate master plan is laughable unless the objective of the plan is to embarrass the program and frustrate its constituents. It may have started as such, but it's gone horribly awry with today's development. There is nothing good than can come from the idea of having Greg Schiano be or almost be UT's head coach. Even if it's a smokescreen, it's a stupid one. Smokescreen or truth the person who contrived Schiano being associated with UT should be fired or shot repeatedly with bean-bag rounds untill they resemble a blackberry or preferrably both.

This coaching staff deserved no consideration, nor did they benefit from there being no distraction of another hire during the season. Based upon their performance, a distraction away from their ineptitude would have been welcome and may have done more to help them get a job.

I can put up with a lot of things. What I lack the patience to put up with is educated idiocy and that's what we're seeing on display today.

Hire a real coach and make this crap stop!!!!

You are new here, aren't you! It has nothing to do with transponders. The Tail numbers cannot be publically tracked.

A transponder doesn't file a flight plan, it simply allows the ATC to 'see' your aircraft better on radar. Even if a flight plan is filed, that doesn't make the information available to the public. Even if the information is available to the public, you gotta know the tail number. I'm a 53 year old pilot, btw.

Someone decided that in an effort to make Currie's last minute reveal of Gruden a superheroic "Currie saved us" moment, that Schiano would be a good name to use for that purpose. Horrible decision. His name has no business anywhere near this University. Even the inevitable backtracking makes us look bad: "Schiano decides he doesn't want to coach for us because of our fans."

Horribly conceived and executed misdirect, IMO. Whoever came up with it should be ashamed. And the people making the decisions need to seriously stop worrying about John Currie's image and get on with business.
