Look at how long this has been going on. Now look at how long the Haslam family has been a major contributor to Tennessee.

Lot of blame going around right now, but I think two people who should be getting more it are:

Haslam (don't even know which one, can't keep them straight)
Jimmy Sexton

Yes, Currie and Davenport, but these two definitely need added to the list. I don't do twitter, don't know if Haslam or Sexton do, but it might be worth letting them know how VolNation feels.

Honestly, I can't believe I typed that.

But I do think this has been going on behind the scenes.

Beaver had a purpose, bubba had a purpose. All our insiders were given information that it was Gruden. Straight down the line.

The side that did not leak info was Currie/Haslam. Everyone knows that Currie was hired because Haslam wanted him.

The popular vote was Blackburn.

The Ergen side is in touch with the fanbase. They know how badly we want change, to be relevant again.

The Haslams have had their way with running things for so long they don't care what we want. They are gonna do what they want. They think they aren't accountable to anyone.

But this was a mutiny of the first order.

Jmo, nothing but speculation on my part. But with the way the program has been ran for the last 10 years a massive change was needed. And real change occurs not at the top, but begins at the grass roots level and works it's way from there.

That's what I think happened today.

DTO, GV, Slice and others have already caved. Knuck and Exile are sticking with their info, and that’s very respectable. Thumbs up.

I’m afraid, however, that it is only a matter of time before they go down with the ship.

I think that this is an easy story to get ahead of.

Fire Currie. Release a statement that Schiano wasn’t properly vetted before an offer was made. Don’t say anything about the Sandusky deal but just say that UT is looking for a coach with impeccable merits on and off the field. Name someone like Fulmer as interim AD and give him all the money he needs to attract anyone.

This is on Currie. He’s the one that goes if anybody. He even told us: “This (coaching search) is MY sole responsibility.”

So wasn't Manning and Fulmer on the search committee? Sounds like they failed too! I mean if I knew that was direction he was going I would have "leaked" that out asap so did not get this far!

Our Coach is the least of our issues. We need to clean house starting with #firecurrie then..... We hire a coach.

Today will probably cost us a recruiting class but I am convinced change in the AD will happen. Hot mess is a understatement.

What if the deal with Gruden never included Currie? All the info we are getting seems to be from booster side. It was stated at some point Currie didn't want Gruden. If Currie truly was hired behind the back of so many at he hand of Haslam, this could have been Haslam's plan all along:play along with everyone then get your man (Currie) to torpedo deal at last minute. If other boosters (Ergen) are tired of Haslam's influence and power mongering, maybe this was set up to get Currie ousted (enter Beaver and expectations of VN) and get Fulmer or even Blackburn hired (strange that Blackburn left UTC with no real explanation). Maybe all this is part of the grand scheme.

Cliff notes:
Other boosters saw Haslam's play to hire his coach and countered to get Currie fired bc he was the pawn.
AD VN wanted put in place and secret deal with Gruden takes effect.

remember the 7th maxim.

Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there...

keep the pressure on this inept AD, haslam, and the university. don't let them get away with this.
