Mods, can we close this stupid thread? At this point they serve no purpose and we should release the Grudes back to the wild, if they survive great and if not we are better for it.

But yes, doesn't look good on my phone, my social media, or my computer. But I have some faith left that this will be corrected very shortly.

When I suggested the same early on in this thread I was rebuffed immediately with post about "Do I not know how much Ergen is worth" etc.

However I have NOT been thoroughly convinced that Ergen is behind this ...

Currie and Haslam used Grudren as their smokescreen from day one.

Gruden was never pitched the job.

Nailed it.

The Gruden threads gave us hope --- something we desperately needed after the Butch failure. We talked and laughed and dreamed of a coach who would deliver us from mediocrity. It was fun in 2012 and it was fun this year.

Aspiring for greatness isn't a crime. I've always reached for the unattainable with the understanding I'll only get it occasionally. It's the reason I've been very successful in my business and personal life.

Most people have a fear of failure and would rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. They revel in the aftermath of failed dreams with "I told you so" and "You guys were idiots to believe it". I feel sorry for those people. I truly do.

To all my fellow Gruden brethren: Hold your head high and keep dreaming. UT will win big again.

It is better to have dreamed a thousand dreams that never were than never to have dreamed at all.

Austin, agree in total. Any administration who had this little lack of knowledge of how social media works now, is either naive or arrogant, and I wish I had the answer but it could be either or both

I would say give JG and UT until early next week before the thread gets closed. Give things a chance to settle and/or be revisited.

There are many threads on the front page I have no interest in at all. I simply don't open them. It's not rocket surgery.

I know it looks bleak now, but I am hopeful this thing can be salvaged. Getting Currie and Davenport out of the way would be the first step. Davenport might switch sides to save her job. Currie is toast, regardless of what happens.

This is a complete and utter **** storm. Currie is not the man for Tennessee nor any power 5 team. Any fool that would try a snake head move as to what happened yesterday, deserves everything he gets .

This is what happens when external forces (aka a search firm) has any input of a high level hire (Chancellor, AD and HC positions). No orange blooded warrior volunteers or at least a true on would not let this happen... Hence Volnation speaking up. To hell with these son's.

Not my judgement call on where they spend eternity... But I am done with this incompetent administration. I love UT and helped yesterday.
