The trolls are out in full force tonight.

****ing losers.

Yeah. I think I'm going to check out until tomorrow... This is just too hard to keep up with right now for one and not worth it.

Always best to remove yourself from stressful situations.

Later guys, keep the faith!

fun fact: That 2007 #Florida class featured 10 five-star recruits, six of which were defensive signees. Charlie Strong was the DC.

Most of us won't give up on UT, but the excitement factor won't be as great as it could have been. Then again, until Strong is introduced at the podium, I'm still on the Gruden train.

Gruden was never coming here and all the ridiculous rumors about him will be the only reason that the excitement won't be as big as it should be for Strong.

Does anyone else think this is playing out exactly like the OG's said it would? Because it seems to me that it pretty much is. The media has no clue what is going on, or they're being fed bad info on purpose.

Gruden all the way baby!

Just glad this search has weeded out all the fake ass fans we have. You either support the program or you don't. People like Boro can take a hike and go support Bama. They'll be back when we start winning again...probably with a new name.

You are a true POLE SMOKER

IMO, it is imperative that this hire unite a very fragmented and fragile fan base. I respect Charlie Strong, but I just don't see him uniting the fan base. Perhaps after some big wins people would come around, but I don't see this hire doing much to heal vol nation. This program needs a big name with some serious cred right now. If not Gruden, then someone established with some big wins under their belt. Obviously, Arkansas understood this and our AD doesn't. Sad. Just my .02.

So you're a fair weather fan? Good to know.

all due respect, I think what Boro may be expressing is that we should be allegient to an ethos, a set of values - the heart and sould of a program - not blindly following a brand. The brand is only as good as the values. We can still care for our Student Athletes, be proud of the history of UT football, but if a mid-tier coach is thought to be a "home-run hire", then the ethos and values of the program no longer represent what we know and love -- thus the UT name has been hijacked and pasted onto something that is not UT football.

I would offer that the heart of UT football is forever connected to the great legacy of the past; in the midst of this coaching search, we may or may not be witnessing the same program with the same values. Time will tell.

maybe, maybe not.

Obviously I'm still new to this.. What is with all the people who want tell the OG's their wrong?? I mean who gives a sh!t they were wrong.. I mean who seriously cares that much about being right except for Wes Rucker

Not trying to be an a$$ but this stuff is plain stupid sometimes

Glad we got to see the true side of Boro. Ready to give up tickets and just say screw the program until we hire somebody that you approve of? ******* baby.

Nope....just not going to support a program that is not committed to excellence any longer. That is why we have sheep like you. We've been blindly committed to mediocrity for a decade.

For the record, I believe we will make the correct choice.

I personally will be pissed if they ustage Fulmer's induction with the hiring of Strong...that seems like a mattress burning offense right there...

Guess I'm a terrible fan since I gave up on the administration with the Dooley hire. I will always support the school but that doesn't mean I have to support those running the show at any point in time. The only way to show my displeasure is to withhold my $$$ and that's what I have done.

Just the opinion of an old alum that's been a fan since the single wing days.

Never in this history of sports has a fan base been so divided.

This dates back to the Fulmer firing and has turned it's ugly face again.

I agree.

Call me a fairweather fan, too. But I've been a UT fan since 84, through thick and thin (there's been a lot more thin lately). The University had a chance to step up, determine to get serious about football, compete with Bama, Georgia, and Florida, and if Strong is the guy, they wimped out again. He would have to prove it to me before I give a damn again.
