The point is that Dooley was FIRED in no small part because of that loss to Kentucky. Fired to hopefully make way for a better coach.
And Charlie Strong, who lost to UConn and Syracuse is Dooley's replacement? Is expected to turn the program around? A guy with ONE HC position on his resume?
Please.

That's cool. You got back on the wagon, but you very publicly wavered. You threatened to become a ATM fan if Strong was hired. It was a fit of panic. That wouldn't have come from someone that was 100% confident in the outcome of this situation.
You may believe your source(s) 100%, but that's different from you knowing 100% what is going to happen. I saw that moment of panic in your post. I get it and am not trying to get you mad.
You're sticking to your guns, but you're not 100% sure there's any ammo in them.
You said that fans will pack Neyland to see Strong.
I disagree - the fan base will be just as divided as this message board. I simply referenced that the fan base has and will show its disdain for a coach by not attending; the name of the coach does not matter!
Season tickets are dirt cheap and it isn't just because the economy.
Strong had one good year at Louisville and you want put him up against the likes of Miles, Saban, Muschamp, Richt and Spurrier. Strong went 7 and 5 his first two years in the toilet bowl that is the Big East. The SEC is the toughest conference in America by a country mile!
It is not a learn on the job conference!
