One day when you stand before him I am sure you will want to edit this post
Great recruiter, has SEC and head coaching experience. Defender guy, which is what we have been lacking, and he automatically gets the attention of big time recruits. The only people not excited are the ones who actually believed the Gruden mess.
Tell me how it is then oh wise one ... How is Strong better ? I guess that impressive win over the mighty UCONN should convince me ...Oh Wait ...He lost that game
Coaches have to protect their jobs.
Don't act like he's the only one that's done this. It happens many, many times every single year.
Only if you agree to stating a well-structured and logical argument why you think Strong deserves the job
a passage from Eric Crawford who covers Louisville sports for WDRB :
Different people measure it different ways. I measure it by the job that is done. In three seasons, Charlie Strong took U of L's program from chaos to the Sugar Bowl. He gave the program Teddy Bridgewater and a slew of talented young players. He gave direction and shape to the program off the field, requiring community service of his players and leading it to unprecedented academic levels. He brought the program from the brink of APR penalty, and improved it to the point where the ACC accepted U of L as a member -- based largely on its on-field performance in the most important sports.
Whether Strong leaves or stays, he has lived up to much of his end of the deal. He has been good for the program, and most of all, good to its players.
Dooley should have been fired immediately after the Kentucky loss. But Dave Hart did not want to pay the buyout. We had another dismal year because of it.
It will take a hire like Gruden to turn the program around.
I posted earlier that Louisville was trying to decide if they wanted to or could match the offer. Any hint from the bluegrass state that indeed might happen??
