One day when you stand before him I am sure you will want to edit this post

Is that what happens before we finally make our return to eternal and everlasting void from whence we came? Thankfully emotions are nonexistent in such a place so "caring" about something like editing a post (or anything for that matter) is impossible at that point

Great recruiter, has SEC and head coaching experience. Defender guy, which is what we have been lacking, and he automatically gets the attention of big time recruits. The only people not excited are the ones who actually believed the Gruden mess.

That orange Dog looks like a Great Defender...ruf...ruf...ruf...ruf ruf ruf

Tell me how it is then oh wise one ... How is Strong better ? I guess that impressive win over the mighty UCONN should convince me ...Oh Wait ...He lost that game

I'm glad you can google oh Mr Football.... I wouldn't rag on UConn when I'm not even sure TN for sure would win against em at the moment. If you want to play that game at least he could beat Chapil Hill with alot less recruited athletes than Dooley had, and he managed to even keep the right number of players on the field. Prior to Strong Louisville had 3 losing season, after strong they had winning seasons, and the 3 bowl shows which is more then Tennessee can say. I mean we didn't really beat Kentucky any worse then they did, but compare our recruits vs theirs.....it's pretty sad...

I know this much if Strong had a crack at our defense it wouldn't be the Pinay bargirl of the sec.... which it currently is, giving it up to anyone and everyone... I'm not on Strong bandwagon, I do not think he is the right Hire either, but he IS a better coach then Dooley.. That's just a fact. He would improve the game, but I don't think he could ever dominate it in the SEC....if I thought he was the next Tony Dungy I'd be all in, but I don't think he is.

I posted earlier that Louisville was trying to decide if they wanted to or could match the offer. Any hint from the bluegrass state that indeed might happen??

There are reports that the wait is for another candidate, because fulmer's night, and he is mulling everything over so who knows.

Coaches have to protect their jobs.

Don't act like he's the only one that's done this. It happens many, many times every single year.

Did I act like no one does this? Does that make it right that? Is it ok to not want the face that will represent our University openly lying to a recruit a couple of days before he starts recruiting for the Vols?

Only if you agree to stating a well-structured and logical argument why you think Strong deserves the job

Here:

a passage from Eric Crawford who covers Louisville sports for WDRB :

Different people measure it different ways. I measure it by the job that is done. In three seasons, Charlie Strong took U of L's program from chaos to the Sugar Bowl. He gave the program Teddy Bridgewater and a slew of talented young players. He gave direction and shape to the program off the field, requiring community service of his players and leading it to unprecedented academic levels. He brought the program from the brink of APR penalty, and improved it to the point where the ACC accepted U of L as a member -- based largely on its on-field performance in the most important sports.

Whether Strong leaves or stays, he has lived up to much of his end of the deal. He has been good for the program, and most of all, good to its players.

Dooley should have been fired immediately after the Kentucky loss. But Dave Hart did not want to pay the buyout. We had another dismal year because of it.

It will take a hire like Gruden to turn the program around.

Thank you. Exactly what I was trying to say. Now is not the time for a strong type hire. UT needs a home run type hire. One that shakes the foundations of the college football world.

Louisville will match the offer but it is not just about money. Would you rather coach in a crappy conference like the Big East and the ACC or in the SEC, the best conference in the country?

ESPN airs pro-Charlie Strong to TN material.

Vague reports start coming out how Gruden could be going back to the Raiders...

LOOK AWAY EVERYONE! THERE IS NO MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!
