Skeeter is saying that Strong has been offered and the ball is in his court. He said he won't flinch if UL matches, that it would have to be a crazy amount for him to stay.

I don't hate Strong, but he isn't a home run hire by any means... he has been a head coach for 3 years, and only had 1 good year. I just think, he may very well be a good coach, but we don't know at this point in his career, he is a gamble at this point and this program doesn't need a gamble.

Tomorrow, any Grudenite hater gets ignored after 2 stupid posts..... I anticipate half of VN will be ignored by noon.

The issue is that Tenn will significantly raise the bar on what can be done staff-wise. Don't underestimate this very significant factor. Not to mention facilities, etc.

Louisville plays in the Big East and soon the ACC. The Big East is no longer a major conference. The ACC is awful in football and could implode with FSU, Clemson and other teams possibly leaving.

Coaching in the SEC at a school with a rich football tradition is more appealing than money.
