Louisville athletic director prepared to open vault to keep Charlie Strong - CBSSports.com
A stupid amount? Considering his buyout is like 3M, I think they could pay 4m/year and keep him, if we outbid that, we are dumb, that would be 4m+buyout, so like almost 5 m a year for a 2m coach.
Louisville plays in the Big East and soon the ACC. The Big East is no longer a major conference. The ACC is awful in football and could implode with FSU, Clemson and other teams possibly leaving.
Coaching in the SEC at a school with a rich football tradition is more appealing than money.
Gruden could still come for Spring Practice!
Look, Gruden has his DREAM job. Why would he want to leave MNF early to come down to Arkansas and do what ....perform an awkward Hog Call with Jeff Long ?? -- I think that's what broke the deal with Dana Altman.
It's much much smarter, profitable, and ethical for Gruden to WAIT until the MNF gig is over. He owes a lot to MNF. Plus there's that large balloon payment the Bucs owe Gruden but only if he is not coaching.
Let the secret Interim coach's recruit. Then when Gruden shows up, Bulemia moves to Defensive Coordinator. I don't think he'd be a good OC with the type of system Gruden will run here.
This hire makes no sense otherwise! We would not be returning to the days of Nutt and running the ball on 3rd and 5 ! Long has to hire somebody ! And whoever Gruden wanted, is okay by me.
It's all GRUDE gentlemen!!
GRUDEN!
Have faith--there's more evidence of Gruden coming to Arkansas than evidence for Jesus and you believe in Jesus, don't you ?? You wouldn't question , you wouldn't doubt.
Imagine Jon Gruden walking out onto the Spring Ball field with shades and a whistle --much cooler and watch how the Internets will explode.
According to Hub Arkush of ProFootballWeekly.com, the Raiders "are in talks" with Jon Gruden about a reunion.
That's a wild one. Aside from some fairly standard comments about being disappointed in the Raiders' rough November, owner Mark Davis has given no indication that coach Dennis Allen's job is in jeopardy. If there's so much as a grain of truth to this rumor, however, Allen's seat must be quite warm. Then again, there's scarcely a job in America Gruden hasn't been connected to since becoming a sensation in the Monday Night Football booth. If he's coming back for 2013, the odds seem extremely thin it's with the Raiders.

There you again...
You are such the class act.
Name calling again...
That shows your own immaturity and inability to communicate in a civil manner. All you can do is resort to snide comments.
