Someone asked Hubbs "WTF IS GOING ON!?!?!"

His response...

Rumors out the rear end: Here are the latest rumors.

1. Rumor out of Stillwater is that Gundy hasn't given Tennessee an answer.
2. Rumors out of Louisville is that Strong is leaving for Tennessee
3. Rumors out of Louisville that says Strong is staying
4. Rumors of part of Strong's potential staff at Tennessee visiting with each other.

That's just a few of them.

Nope....just not going to support a program that is not committed to excellence any longer. That is why we have sheep like you. We've been blindly committed to mediocrity for a decade.

For the record, I believe we will make the correct choice.

I think your info was good. Mine was too and still is. However, it has got cold and I will not think it is Gruden unless we get into next week without a coach.

Even if we hire Strong, I would not feel like you misled anyone. BUT, when I see you saying you are going to be a fan for another team, I then start to question. I was raised in Atlanta and will always be a Tech fan first because my dad was a fan of Tech even though he grew up in Bama. I married into a UT family and have been a fan for over 20 years.

I do question anyone who is not loyal to their team and wants to jump on some other program. Perhaps it is just the frustration talking and I hope that is it. Because, I will be a Jacket and Vol fan the rest of my life and will not start pulling for someone else and against them because of tough times. I respect loyalty and can't stand people who were never Bama fans till Saben started coaching.

I was a Braves fan when they sucked and have been for over 40 years and always will be and was rewarded with a World Series I got to attend. Made it so much sweeter after having so much bad. Loving what is happening with the Falcons now too.

If you really mean you will not support UT and not just frustration talking, then you are not a real fan in my book.

Does not mean anything to you, but I found this distasteful.

All I know is if Strong gets 3.75 mil Hart better had been doing interviews for his new job somewhere else while this joke of coaching search has been going on.

Mycenary is a big seller when we can get it. I'm impressed that you know of it.

You should come try a Town Pump Pail Ale made exclusively for us be Odell's.

Watch out for Asheville. It's about to be come the Napa Valley for craft brews on the east coast.

Excited for Asheville, my parents live in nearby Hendersonville....Hear they are getting 3 craft beer breweries there....Can't get any Odell products here in Dallas....Should get to Denver area again next year, will make it a point to try that Town Pump....I'm a huge IPA fan, try to sample new ones all the time....

I am sure we can get this information... I am just not sure when.... I don't believe most of what I read about it.

I don't believe Gruden did not want to be here, I don't believe it was about power, and I don't believe it was about money.

That leaves me to believe as Tony B (of all people said) that Gruden was never Harts choice. That being the case he stalled until he found a way to piss him off.

I personally think (can't prove) it was Hart

Its not over yet

Strong isn't worth three. He has been a coach for three seasons, has played one ranked opponent and until this year his record was 14-13. What does everyone see in him?

He may very well turn out to be a good coach, but Tennessee has already taken a chance on one unproven guy... and we know how that turned out. Put Louisville in any other power conference besides the Big East this season and they would not be in a BCS bowl. Louisville won 10 games this year, 6 of which by a touchdown or less. I don't see it, and I don't understand why some are so pleased about this.

You guys that want Strong, tell me why?

This! Plus with those stats, 6 games won by a touchdown OR LESS, are they touting this man as defensive-minded? Only Missouri State scored less than 17 points. Defensive minded? My ass!

heres my theory

either hart screwed it up and got canned or

hes is about to be the most known ad in history

But didn't your source say you'd be excited with the hire?

No -- two totally different places. Original sources were booster end mostly, but also corroborated by NFL side. Never got much. Just the broad strokes at key points. Obvious the whole time AD's office was in the dark.

This weekend, after I was basically just sitting there, got some wind from business contacts connected to AD about the possible new guy and presser. Didn't care much but it was clear they had some heightened sense of urgency. Taking it all in you know?

And now a new twist! I like you Liper, and what you bring, keep coming my man, but I am keeping you at arms length!!:)

Pay attention folks. "Trying to figure out what happened and been in the dark since" to "some hombres got awfully excited this week"

I will apologize to Liper if Im wrong.

Contrary to most of the trolls and freaks on here pushing Strong, I believe that we still have Gruden. The OGs said it would be this way and the media hasn't gotten it right yet. We were seemingly this close with Gruden before the "deal fell through", so anything can happen. I am not convinced that Strong is anywhere close to the Tennessee job, especially with what Higdon and CBS affiliate in Louisville have just said. So lets keep up the hope for Gruden, nothing is done with Strong, so all you freaks GTFO and go to your own f'ing thread and worship Strong there. All I see is another mediocre coach ready to lose to umpteen more ranked teams. You all sound like Dooley supporters... Rationalizing and settling for something less than satisfactory. Until it's all done, lets push for the best and hope he comes!

Go Vols!!!

I posted this several times during the Troy Air raid from 3-7 today. Either Boomer is locked in to a very close source or his guess was very lucky. I prefer to believe the former.
