Vol fan here from the stl area but on the Illinois side. You all are killing me. First post on VN but I have been following for the past week. This thread has doubled my skoal intake and I believe the fingerprint on my thumb is now non existent (using my mobile phone) as I am constantly fingering through all the pages. My work productivity has decreased and it's quite possible my phone may explode from the constant refreshing. With that being said, I am loving all of this and really hope we get Gruden. Great job all. Just wanted to say hello and the love of UT shown on here is why I am and always will be a VFL!

Pac-12 football coaches salaries, not counting bonuses.
School Coach Salary
Oregon Chip Kelly $2,800,000
UCLA Jim Mora $2,400,000
Washington Steve Sarkisian $2,400,000
California Jeff Tedford $2,300,000
Washington St. Mike Leach $2,250,000
Arizona St. Todd Graham $2,000,000
Arizona Rich Rodriguez $1,750,000
Utah Kyle Whittingham $1,700,000
Oregon St. Mike Riley $1,313,471
Colorado Jon Embree $725,000

I'd pay Chip Kelly 4.75.

Isn't it probable that Fedora is tomorrow's coach of the day?

Seems like we're running out of those though.

Still Gruden until I see someone else at the podium.

This was my thought....Dave Hart told Gruden "I'm giving you until the Hall of Fame induction. I'm going to have my interviews conducted, and I'm going to have an offer waiting for someone. You have until then to decide, but I'm not going to wait around for you when there are other candidates on board."

So my thinking is, Gruden and Hart/boosters have had meetings, they got the contract as they wanted it, and tonight was the night that things were finalized. Gruden had to make a decision.

Could explain his lack of enthusiasm last night on MNF.

Could explain the sudden "Holy crap what is going on?" misdirection.

Hopefully, if this is true, Gruden made the right choice.

More drama then is nesc...

after the last 5 years I've almost run out of faith for the AD and boosters to do anything right .

Gotcha beat, 1966. :)

The first game that I remember watching was the playoff game against Cincinnati when Bo got hurt. I've experienced so many bad Raider seasons that I'm starting to wonder if I'm bad luck.

so this is my first post, but i've been lurking since gruden viii. I've gotta say, this thread has been the single most entertaining place to be for weeks now. Especially for any vol fan. I also gotta say, the og's have practically gave us the script of how this thing plays out. And i'm thinking they are the right ones to listen to. too much lines up in favor of jg. Make it through tomorrow...if possible. gruden 100%!!

soon.

yet another doomsday prepper hurt himself onthe show. why don't they realize that they are many, many times more likely to hurt themselves and their family chasing their silly fantasy than that fantasy actually coming true

Friggin negGrudes! Thought they would never leave!

Some asshat says another coaches name and they come in and its an hour of "Coach X is it, Fu OG's, Fu everybody else". :banghead2:

Then you turn the light on and they scatter like cockroaches.

Glad I missed that. I was in a class but it looks like Spartacavolus may have been involved.

The story on Yahoo about Louisville gaining hope, makes me feel better.

Anyone put much weight into the UL player's text message?

Only problem to that in my mind, is that the only hold Up I can think of really that would require this disinfo campaign (if it is that), would be some ESPN contract snag. I don't think enough of Tampa Bay thing could possibly matter one thing or another... So if our little Alex Jones Vol theory is correct.....it seems like it'd have to be 23rd for it to be him.

This may be a stupid question but...

Why couldn't they simply announce him as the head coach and him still finish his contract with mnf season?
Assuming he wants the job?

Imall in too for gruden but this question has me lost

"I have a certain level of expertise." Isn't that what Hart said? Well, Arkansas just got as good a coach and more proven than Strong. Time to show us Mr. Hart that expertise that will make Jeremy Foley shudder in his shoes.

I'm really liking your insight my friend!
