My niece works at a lawfirm that represents Johnny. She asked him who the next coach would be. He told her the next coach will be Charlie Strong. That's why I asked if you guys think Johnny would be in the know or is he like the rest of us just guessing or getting misinformed.I would like to think he is just misinformed, but it got my hopes down on Job Gruden after I heard it.

Wasn't there a report a week or 2 ago that said Gruden basically shut down all the info from anyone close to him? I would consider Johnny close to him and I would think Majors would get that message.

If no letter he would need to have or someone in AD would have to know if it was real..letter..-verbal offer corroborated ..if it was all BS ..no motive to stroke check

Written offers are rarely given until a verbal agreement has been reached. No chance every coach that has gotten a raise out of interest from another school had written offers in hand.

I have a bad habit of talking in movie quotes as you have probably figured out. It drives my wife crazy. She is convinced that it is a neurological disorder on the autism spectrem.

Thank you for diagnosing my medical condition, saved me some money on the dr's visit. What kind of meds do I need? Beer, whiskey? Or just say hell w/ it and keep doing it? Or go w/ all of the above? I vote all of the above.

So if he does not get a raise, he did not get an offfer

Grude morning everyone! I just started my day off right. I got hit on by a car full of girls in the drive thru line at McDonald's. I was ordering in the other line and look over and see them staring and grinning at me from their car, waving and blowing kisses.. Never a dull moment.

Never mind us not getting Gruden...if we can't lure Strong away from UL ( has anyone ever seen their facilities?) back to a conference where he has experience and the jobs are considered top notch....then they better get ready to lose some major cash.....I don't think Vol fans are rushing to see a Larry Fedora coached team...he would have to win a huge game first to raise an eyebrow with fans...just my 2 cents

If Strong had an offer, he would be our coach right now.

The real question is, why didn't Hart offer?

Of course, the book isn't closed on that story yet, but something there doesn't pass the smell test.

I do not think it is a matter of luring. I think Hart barely escaped the interview without having him signed. That would have ruined everything.

Apparently you did not see the leaked video from the Hart / Strong meeting.

Knox Sport's media reported yesterday at different times that Strong was offered. However ESPN only went so far to say that Strong was a leading candidate. ESPN unlike the local guys don't just plastered stuff all over the wall to see what sticks!

Who reported he was offered ???
