No problem. I am hoping that its the answer that he has been told to give and not the one he knows to be true if you know what I mean...I would have felt better about it being b.s. though if she told me it came from someone like hyams or something...lol

This is true. I spoke about the search and was going well until I said that word. "Gruden" seems to be the kryptonite to these superman people on the radio. It just seemes odd that as soon as it is meantioned BOOM goes the dynamite. I know Bobby on the show here in the tri-cities works for the vol radio network on the weekends and this just seems odd to me. I am still full on the Gruden train but I will admit this Strong talk scares the heck out of me.

I think if you believe Gruden is in the bag the AD is looking for number two or a backup plan in case it falls through at the last minute so you are not setting there without a plan or direction to go then that, would make sense. Also, if you believe he is getting his best candidate lined up to present to the BOT along with Gruden then it makes sense too. There are so many things that have been speculated about as to why this is happening now in reference to the coaching search, who knows....just throwing it out there. I do not know what to believe at this point.

I can guarantee you that if all us Grudes were in charge of this hire, we would have met at a bar one time, discussed business for about 15 min. Then had a few brews. We would have had our coach 24 hours later!

Just posting to say we all should be happy to have been involved in the greatest thread in VN history!! Looks like its going to be Strong, but even through the disappointment we can be certain our vols will be better than what we have seen in recent years. I see a bowl game next year, and who knows, maybe he can right the shop!! Go Vols!!
