Didn't he just sign an extension earlier this year and makes almost $4mil/yr? How much more of a raise does he think he's worth? He just went 7-5. I think he's actually interested in leaving. And if he actually is looking for a raise, I'd let him walk if I were OK St and go buy a better coach for $4mil/yr. JMO
Who is ARkansas getting? Some think they are getting Strong, too.
Folks over in some arky forums seem to think charlie strong is there man. Sayin gundy stayin at okst and tennesses left in the cold but little do they know.
It makes me honestly just question the salaries some of these media guys get who are supposed to have their finger on the pulse of these things. I mean, really, we have folks with fulltime jobs (outside of journalism), with no inside "connections" who make just as accurate predictions, with more merit, than a lot of these folks who are getting paid, then beg you to pay more, for their services.
At least Hargis actually did some legwork on his story and provided broken-down factual analysis. Some of these Knoxville clowns are the laziest, backtracking, vague, contradictory folks supposedly close to a situation I've ever seen.
@TheDannyParker: Multiple sources with FOX Sports NEXT re-iterate to Tennessee Volunteers Football, Basketball, and Recruiting Front Page that Louisville coach Charlie Strong has not spoken with Tennessee.

That has its own thread.
Fort Nasty and Tellico my 2 fav places to crappie fish now Watts Bar is Nasty. I live 2 miles from Norris though walleye fish here in the spring and large mouth/Small mouth
We want the same thing, for the Vols to win. It will be hard for me to get excited for Charlie Strong. If he's the guy he'll have to prove it on the field for me whereas a more proven guy would allow me to buy in right off the bat. Not saying that's right but I think that's reality for a lot of fans. Ou know the minute he loses a game he shouldn't people are gonna say "that's what you get when you hire an up and comer ". A more established coach would garner a little more latitude. Not that that's right either, just reality.
Well I am with Liper. I have kind of mentally checked out. I am just not paying attention anymore. I am holding firm that it is Gruden. Will not believe otherwise until I see a different coach. I don't think anything will break tomorrow or Wednesday. Can't really say why, just doesn't feel right.
