So Strong and Gundy hold simultaneous offers according to Basillio and CBS. Meanwhile ratings and clicks are through the roof.

I bet people believe that Rush Limbaugh really wants a republican in the White House too.

You can have an agent who strictly books speaking engagements and doesn't represent you in your coaching profession. That way you don't have to pay the guy a percentage of your coaching contract. He would only get a cut of your paid speaking events.

How many times do you hear a coach saying "My interview went really well...I feel really good about my interview"? He only said that to put UL on the hot seat and basically say hey if you don't pony up UT is going to grab me up.

Now he's torn between both schools? Come on give me a break. He's just pumping UL for another new contract which they just gave him one last year.

I don't think he was offered the job, but he'd take it in a heartbeat.

One of two things has happened here. They already hired Gruden weeks ago, or they can't get anybody to take the job for any amount of money. All these other schools looking for coaches are snatching them up right & left. Tennessee can't make a hire or their just not trying.

Those close to Gruden ( Cris Mortenson) say that the QB at the prospective team will be an important factor in where Gruden will return to coaching. That said, Oakland is in a terrible QB situation with Carson Palmer, and even more uncertainty as you dive into the depth chart. They also are unlikely to pursue a rookie in a year where 2013 NFL draft class appears to be limited at the QB position. The potential Free Agency class of 2013 is shaky at best [Tebow, A. Smith, Vick]
Gruden to the raiders just doesn't make sense, unless they move the franchise to LA.

I do not believe for a minute that UT is in bidding war for Strong; that is nonsensical!

However if we are, then UT has huge problems with the AD as well as the big $$$$ donors ranging for inept decision making to financial irresponsibility! Additionally, if this is happening then UT will be a pit for the next 5 to 10 years!
