Legal contracts are not as simple as that. My wife is in-house council and negotiates and drafts contracts. There is a lot to them.

I don't think you're ever going to get a first hand look at what's behind the curtains. Such as our search phenomenon, they (Bama fans) still don't know exactly what happened...but they probably don't care now either.

If it does end up being Gruden, you would think he would inform ESPN first so they can break the story. Right?

True Story:

Had a conversation with 14 year old daughter last night and thsi is how it went down.

Her: Dad why have you been on the cpu so much lately when you get home from work?Me: trying to find out who TN's new coach is going to be.
Her: Does it matter?
Me: Yes it matters, because I remember a time when teams like bama and georgia were scared and knew that they would lose to us in the 90s.
Her: Well no one is scared of TN now.
Me: Go to your room!!!

We need Gruden.

I dont understand why if we were so close on the money for Gruden just go get it done and lets start racking up our recruits. Makes no sense to Embarrass our program. The whole country is laughing

I'd really, really love to be wrong. I just don't see how we could wait this long to hire Gruden, and waste all this time.

Better pray it's Gruden, because it's going to be a lot worse if Fedora and Strong deny us too.

I am sure they are but I would think that's lawyer stuff. Not an expert by any means so I will yeild to you my Elvis Wrestler friend.

Been here since Gruden III ... glued to this thread everyday!!! I've been so unproductive but... I work for UT .... so its kind of their fault, right? ;)

Anyways, I'm ALL GRUDEN BABY!!!!

Been a lifetime vol fan...and I'm 40. (I'M A MAN!) I cannot remember a time when we had a coach (assuming Gru's hired) for the ENTIRE F'N FOOTBALL WORLD to be jealous. OG's...its a helluva ride...I'm ready!
