I'm as disappointed as everyone. No experience in a big time conference and everything. Plus, it's clear who I wanted as I had 1000+ posts in this thread. Hell, I helped create the secret Gruden language.

However, Jones is 50-27. He only has one losing season between C. Michigan and Cincinnati. Plus, he is a two time Big East coach of the year. I'll give him a chance. (Hart is a different story - not Jones' fault he is an idiot)

One other thing: the OG's shared the info they received as best they could. No reason to attack them because things changed. There is no possible way for them to know the real story of where things went sideways. Flame Yay if you want though.

I bought in early on the Gruden stuff but I knew after last Thursday that Gruden was an extreme long shot at best. I have been recruiting for over a decade and this AD jumps in a plane does one flippen face to face..one freaken interview..no due dilligence and we have a presser today...This is how I make a living when idiots who believe they have hiring abilities screw up hires and then decide to retain a firm after they did the egomaniac I can do everything myself hire..panic hires never work out...period..too much emotion and pride that clouds judgement..dave hart reminds me of my client firm leaders who think just because they are good lawyers they can hire anyone on staff side and make it work...Dave Hart=fail

If you only knew how close this was to getting done you would give Boro a little break here. He was bein honest and relayed everything he was being told and honestly it seemed like it should of been 100% done. But when it's all said and done Boro doesn't make the hire, it's not his fault or anyone here's fault.

I just don't see how this is a positive for ut football. Winning the BE does not mean a thing. I don't see him competing with bama, Florida, Georgia, or USCjr. I maybe wrong but don't think I am.
