UgaDawg, what you don't understand is that Gruden wouldn't have to recruit as hard as any CFB in the nation, he would have tryouts from all the *4 and *5 kids contacting him and wanting to play him.

TIFWIW but i have never seen a coach get hired and win a NC in the same year. I believe Gruden and only Gruden would have a shot at doing it or getting real close.


That's what i never understood he is a x and o guru, he is an offensive guru, a defensive guru and with his name and his knowledge of the game the least of my worries would be recruiting! I had one worry with him, how long till he would have left for the NFL!

If you're still around, OG means "Original Grudenite."

Sorry you feel that way but for the record I was a scholarship player from my first day at UT.

I hope by being wrong makes you feel better and I am glad that I have brought you and others this satisfaction.
