I think you're hearing the same stuff I am. I think I've learned my lesson about discussing anything here though

Don't let those people get to you. As far as I know you we still live in the good old USA and you can post what you want to. I like hearing your opinions.

Don't give up guys. My source is telling me that Jones is a decoy and Hart is just waiting for the right time to announce Bill Bellichick!! SOOOON!

On a side note, i hear the Cohen brothers are using this thread as an outline for their next comedy.

Well, if you and the others don't want to post publicly anymore please feel free to pm some of us (ie-me!). I take "word" with a grain of salt, but I really appreciate the stuff you guys bring.

Boro and Patrick, I get to hear rumblings myself. To sum up what I've heard, Hart told the boosters to F off.

Here's to hoping that boosters give hart the FU right back with their $$$$ and decline any further capital contributions.

I'm looking forward to who CBJ hires for his staff...

I loved the hope that Gruden brought and while I dont get that with Jones, his staff could be exciting!

Keep the hope alive!

9 wins next year!

Football For. We can change name but I think the name is spot on now.

Can we not keep it here? It is sooooo much nicer here, save the occasional times when someone forgets to lock the FF door and the idiots run loose...

RE-POST of my post on Patrick's thread

I hold nothing against Butch Jones.... seems like a good guy and I would have taken the job were I him as well.

I will as always support my team, the players and the new coach, and will of course hope this new hire works out for us all. I will not support any AD who thinks this was a move up to improve our program. It may work out, but we are by dam Tennessee, and we deserve the best.

This proud program once stood out in the NCAA as one of the elite and première of the county, today we are a head scratcher, and a curiosity. We are brought to this lowly state not by a fan base, or players or even a coach. We come to this lonely spot by an incompetent former Ad and now a former Bama, and former Gator troll...who has created an atmosphere where less than perfection is not only accepted but tolerated and now expected by our fan base. The same fan base who only a few short years ago dared to dream we could be the BEST in the nation...because we were. Today we simply fall in line as understudies of the Bama's, Ga's, and LSU's of the world ask ourselves why we every believed to start with.

How are the might fallen from their former state.... I lay it all at the feet of the Ad and Chancellor now presiding on the once “mighty hill”

My stand as a Grudenite was based on a simple belief, one that should we COULD, SHOULD and WOULD be Great again. Was I believeing something that did not happen, Yes I was, and today I wear my banner not in shame, but in pride..... of not a coach who turned us down, but of a dream of excellence that in my heart lives on till I breathe my last breath.

VOL FOREVER….Go Vols

Make no mistake he knows this is how he will be percieved.. That's why he kept stressing it over and over..

I'd like to paint a picture for all of you Gruders out there. 1)The guy's an NFL coach. In the NFL, you don't have to go on recruiting trips and kiss the read ends of 18-year-olds, you don't have to put up with athletic directors, college presidents, etc. You tell your players what's expected and, if they don't perform, you fire them. Plain and simple.
2) The guy makes 3.5 million per year doing Monday night football. He can sit in a chair and talk about the game going on and second guess everything that the coaches do, without consequences.

Now, would you, if you had his job and were 50, drop down to the college ranks and basically start a career making the same money, doing 10 times the work, having to put up with college crap (see 1 above)?!

John Gruden will never be a college football coach and I doubt that he'll ever be a pro coach.
Please stop trying to use common sense, logic, and reason on this website. It has no place here. Thanks.
