As soon as they received that region I knew they would make it. Weren’t they the 3rd #1 seed? Crazy they ended up with the easiest region. Auburn and Wisconsin are your 2/3 seeds. Yes please! No excuse for Kansas not to make the Final Four. Providence in the Sweet 16 and either Miami or Iowa State in the Elite 8.
Texas has made more shots, more 3s, more assists, more steals, less turnovers…but 8 more fouls. Idk what, if anything can be done but the officials have to start being held accountable in some way. I know they are judged on a by round basis to officiate the next round but it doesn’t seem to be working. Every single game it’s bad.I think Purdue has 25 more FTs than Texas

I would be alright making the Final 4 double elimination.I think all of this is far more evidential that the NCAAT is a flawed process to determine the best team than it proves that the SEC and Big 10 are bad. The NCAAT is a TV program primarily and basketball competition secondarily. The NCAAT results are easily manipulated. There should be a lot fewer exciting endings but games seem to somehow even out a lot as they wind down.
I liked the suggestion that somebody had to reduce the field from 68 and make it double elimination if it is supposed to be a legitimate way to determine a champion. Maybe even make the finals 2 out of 3.
