As soon as they received that region I knew they would make it. Weren’t they the 3rd #1 seed? Crazy they ended up with the easiest region. Auburn and Wisconsin are your 2/3 seeds. Yes please!

I think all of this is far more evidential that the NCAAT is a flawed process to determine the best team than it proves that the SEC and Big 10 are bad. The NCAAT is a TV program primarily and basketball competition secondarily. The NCAAT results are easily manipulated. There should be a lot fewer exciting endings but games seem to somehow even out a lot as they wind down.

I liked the suggestion that somebody had to reduce the field from 68 and make it double elimination if it is supposed to be a legitimate way to determine a champion. Maybe even make the finals 2 out of 3.

Texas has made more shots, more 3s, more assists, more steals, less turnovers…but 8 more fouls. Idk what, if anything can be done but the officials have to start being held accountable in some way. I know they are judged on a by round basis to officiate the next round but it doesn’t seem to be working. Every single game it’s bad.

Yea March madness is good TV, and that’s all it’s set up to be. It has nothing to do with finding the best teams or pairing the teams up and giving the higher seed the advantage they earned. They try to make match ups for good TV

I would like to know if that’s really the case. The same ones officiate the SS to the Finals almost every year. I can give you several names who I bet will be officiating next weekend. It’s a bad, bad product.

What dumbfounds me is the B1G is known as a physical, banging league and they’re playing that way and getting away with it. Yet their opponents aren’t allowed to play equally and beyond that it’s ticky-tack fouls that their opponents are being called for.
