*OFFICIAL* March Madness Game Discussion Thread

Damn, blue bloods make it in the end. It's hard understanding what makes these teams consistently get this far in the tournament. I guess in the end size, athleticism and recruiting stars do matter when the pressure is turned up.

Having players who can create their own space off the dribble and make shots is pure talent, we have one maybe two players who can take ppl off the dribble and these teams in the final 4 have several plus consistent front court play. That is the difference. When we played UNC to start the year Love and Davis were erratic and turnover prone now they are both playing like Kennedy Chandler, the difference is they have Armando Bacot and Brady Manek to pass to.

UK gets knocked out in the first round after pounding two teams that end up making the final four. Hell, we even played Duke pretty well way back at the start of the year.

Weird on two fronts: 1) your statement does not match NFL rating demographics to the degree to draw your erroneous conclusion and 2) your ageism bigotry is disgusting.
1. Maybe if they made it more convenient for the younger fan to watch then more would.
2. Someone's mad online. And nope just an observation from personal experience. Let's set the median age at 45, I've had this conversation about times needing to be moved with quite a few people sure it's a small sample size compared to the US but it's a sample. Those under usually agree they should move it and the common complaint it's too late on a work night. Those over usually just say no and when asked why because it's always been that way.

Kansas had the easiest draw to the Final Four that I can recall in recent memory. They got treated as if they were the #1 overall seed. As soon as the bracket came out they were a no brainer to make it there.

I would say a big part of that was due to all the SEC and Big 10 masons throwing up brick after brick. That’s why they’re all watching the Final Four from the comfort of their living rooms.

Villanova shot 37% against Michigan and 29% against Houston and made the FF. UNC shot 41% in its last 2 games, and they weren’t known for defense this year. Your opponent matters, too, and winning teams had bad shooting games.

If I'm UNC coach Hubert Davis, I'm reminding my team that Coach K--who can be a major d--k sometimes, which a lot of people seem not to realize-- completely disrespected the Tar Heels after Duke's loss to Carolina in its final home game. Coach K grabs the mic immediately after that game and declares that the loss was "unacceptable"--as if his team had just lost to High Point or Appalachian State in the last game and not to its biggest rival and one of America's true blue-blood programs. I'd be delighted to see UNC beat Duke in this Final Four.
