Official March Madness Thread

I don't think IU's in extreme trouble, because Wyatt will likely cool down in the second half, but the Hoosiers have been kind of a no-show on the boards so far.

Not his entire foot. His heel wasn't. And that's why he said that he wasn't established as a defender.

So the main defense that his heel was hovering is a self defeating argument. It proves that it was a block

Thats not what I heard. It seemed to me the conversation was around whether his foot was over the line or not. I didnt here anything about not being able to take a charge on your tip toes.

I hope Temple wins this game. A Temple win would severely damage my bracket but at this point I am rooting for chaos.

Temple is playing very physically on defense--they shut down Indiana in the last 10 minutes of the half. Officials let them get away with a lot of bumping and hacking on the perimeter.

If Indiana doesnt come out and pull away by double digits here i have severely misjudged them.

RE that charging call against Iowa State, which probably cost them the game: It was a terrible call! 80 percent of charging calls are not charges--and I don't care about the little circle under the basket, though that has helped a bit. You can run over and jump in front of a guy as he's leaving the floor to shoot a layup--and that's exactly what happened. The osu guard ran over and jumped in the way as the Iowa State guy was leaving the floor. BS call--but it gets called a charge a lot by officials. Defenders are always leaning into guys driving to the basket, shifting their bodies: An actually charge, when a defender is actually set and doesn't move, doesn't happen too often.

Bad refereeing and look at me charge calls are an epidemic. But so is having no thought nor intent to actually defend and just throwing yourself in the way praying.for a call. Craft wasn't playing defense right there. Not close.

Meh. Can't judge a team based on one game when they've played almost 35.

They have done plenty lately to make me reevaluate my opinion of them as the best team out there. I thought they would turn it on here in the tournament. They could still win it all by surviving here but it would show me they arent dominant.

To me the idea of trying to draw a foul on either end is an epidemic. Trying to draw a charge, running onto someone in the open court when you have the ball, pump faking to get someone to jump up in the air so you can jump into them and draw a foul. All of it is nonsense in my book.

There isn't a single team in this tournament that is dominant. Louisville presents the strongest case but they aren't above a loss to the right opponent.

If Indiana wins this game it's a good win. Shot horribly, rebounded horribly, other team's best player had the game of a lifetime, and you still won

Temple needs to make Indiana make tough shots and stop mauling them every time they drive to the basket.

Indiana is pissing me off and I just got the game on. Every time a Temple guy drives or moves the Indiana defender jumps backwards like they're getting tased.
