Florida playing well unfortunately.

As expected. Unless the two Hollins have great games it won't be close.

Also, Mbakwe with foul #2 ten minutes into the game. Very bleak outlook for the Gophers

UNC has too much YOLO going on offensively and defensively to win this game. However, you knew Kansas was going to wake up eventually.

How is that the two michigan schools played their first round games in Michigan, and now Kansas is playing in Kansas City? Not fair to their opponents. I think the NCAA is trying to boost attendance at its first-round games, which have had spotty attendance in the past when teams are truly at a neutral site.

It's all regional. They try to keep seeds 1-4 as close to home as they can. Georgetown was in Philly and tOSU was close to home in Dayton as well.

Probably would have been a Tar Heel if he were from anywhere else.

^^^ And that, although I'm not sure where he's leaning at this point.

True. He helped bring IU back, plus his other two brothers went to different schools

Going to be honest...I like Michigan's chances against KU. Michigan doesn't turn the ball over, Kansas does, Michigan has someone who can at least match up decently with Withey, Michigan's backcourt is a good bit better, etc.

Michigan has been playing really well lately so I could definitely see them beating KU.

Michigan should beat this KU team.

What? The pod system has been around for quite a while and has consistently rewarded higher seeded teams with as close as possible first-weekend games (Louisville in Lexington; tOSU in Dayton; KU in KC; K-State in KC).

Kansas City consistently records high attendance at both the BigXII Tournament and the NCAA rounds hosted in KC and, thus, is consistently rewarded with hosting NCAA games. That being the case, paired with the fact that KU has won 30 games in each of the past three seasons, KU is usually a high-enough seed to play in KC.

For the record, UNC and Duke have played plenty of NCAA Tournament games in Greensboro and Charlotte over the years.

This Florida Gulf Coast-San Diego State game is pretty darn good. Think the Aztecs pull away in the second half but FGCU's showing some fight.

I have never been that impressed with McLemore.

Not impressed with a guy that shoots over 50% from the field and over 40% beyond the arc that can jump through the roof?

McLemore has played awful over the past few games, but that slump ought not blur how incredible the kid played over the majority of the season.

Personally, the knock on McLemore is that he is timid. I do not know if that is due to Self's system and Self reigning him in, or if it is just a maturation issue. But, McLemore has the ability to take almost any defender off the dribble or pull up for a mid-range jumper; he just rarely does so. Once he starts doing that (whether in the next round or in the NBA), he will be a superstar.
