Seems like the most likely candidate at this point.
Dooley did.
Lol
Seriously yes I do he obviously doesn't care about defense or he'd hire a good DC and win the Big12 every year. So no.
Worth mentioning that he was saying what he said in reference to Bobby Reid, who hated Gundy's guts after that game for going with the other QB as starter. He was pi$$ed that he went to the trouble to so vocally defend him and then never let him back on the field again. The kid transferred.
I'm not sure I want a coach who would do that to the kid he just made an @$$ of himself on national TV for.
I sure hope so. He is our best realistic hire at this point. Mora Jr. might be better, but he's only been at UCLA one year. I think we're looking for someone with a little more college HC experience and sustained success. He is more proven than Strong, even though I really like Strong, too.
I see Gundy as an A-list coach based on his accomplishments. He may be an A- compared to the Gruden, Saban, Stoops, Meyer, Carroll level guys but certainly an A-lister.
What accomplishments?
1 BCS game and 1 Big 12 title? That makes him an A Lister?
Hes got a great record against pitiful teams, woohoo.
He has never had a top 25 recruiting class...
Tell me, what really makes him an A Lister?
Who do you want? His team arguably should've been in the national championship game last year. It's hard to criticize the guy because he's never been in the SEC as a head coach. You can say that about all of the coaches we're going after.
