I have no idea how the league will handle it, but it most certainly deserves a 1 game suspension. I was surprised he did it, never seen him throw a cheat shot like that before.

I have tickets for Friday night (section 107) and really hope Weber survives that last play. Honestly, I would probably fine him $10k and sit him one game. Obviously I'm rooting for the fine only.

Good win, worried that Shea will get suspended. Z did try to board him though, Shea's not going to take that crap.

This was just last year. A cross-check to the back, a cross-check to the neck, and then a sucker punch.

I would like to see video of Bertuzzi going after Gaustad well after the horn though. The cameras were on Weber and Zetterberg, but it's obvious that something happened 40' away from there.

This is upsetting. I went to bed when it was 3-1 with under 5:00 to play. Now it sounds like Weber is probably suspended? Fark!

I'm not sure if I'd rather him be suspended for a home or away game. On the one hand, at home, we'd be more likely to overcome it. On the other, if we drop a game while missing him, I'd feel much better if we dropped an away game.

Zetterberg was trying to board him? Seriously? The guy was fighting to get to the puck with little time on the clock. He wasnt trying to board him. His shot on Weber to get to the puck was completely legal......what Weber did was stupid and not legal at all.

Yes, but as a homer, I hope he's not suspended. I don't want to go into game 2 on home ice without Gill or Weber!

I actually think the best case scenerio for the Preds would be 1 game. It could certainly be a stiffer penalty and could be more than 1 game. Look at Cooke last year for Pittsburg, he got suspended for the entire playoffs due to a huge elbow. In the eyes of the NHL, they could see what Weber did as having more intent to injure. Im just saying that it could be worse than 1 game.

The only thing that might be different this year is what Shannahan mentioned in the League meetings last March. He said that regular season and post season suspensions will be handled differently this year. He hinted that a player would recieve a longer suspension in the regular season for certain things that would recieve a lesser penalty in the post season. We'll see this afternoon, I think they will come out with something by 5 today.

I will be mad if he is suspended though, because I am going to the game on Friday and I want to see Weber on the ice and what the retaliation will be from the Red Wings......I love seeing fights :)

They will definitively be going after him the next time he is on the ice. Should be the perfect recipe for some good fights.

It would make me really happy to see him just get fined, then the Wings come out all pissy and take a couple cheap shots at him and get one of their players suspended :eek:lol:

I would laugh so hard.
