Official Nashville Predators Thread

Not very likely to happen. However, the announcement about treating playoff suspensions differently is almost like a NASCAR style "boys have at it" moment. We'll see.

Most hockey insiders I've seen doubt Weber will get a suspension, saying the result of the hit (injuries, etc.) often means more than the intent.

Zetterberg was trying to board him? Seriously? The guy was fighting to get to the puck with little time on the clock. He wasnt trying to board him. His shot on Weber to get to the puck was completely legal......what Weber did was stupid and not legal at all.

Well I'm a homer, but Zetterburg did nail Weber in the head with his elbow. I can see why he got pissed off.

That's what I thought when I saw it the first time. Even if he missed and did hit his shoulder Weber could have thought he was going for his head, and retaliated.

I will be mad if he is suspended though, because I am going to the game on Friday and I want to see Weber on the ice and what the retaliation will be from the Red Wings......I love seeing fights :)

Weber is not one to go after. I hope they do. It will be fun seeing a red wing destroyed. Good for predator momentum too.

Well...

I'm at work with a blistering hangover and absolutely no voice. I want someone to show me who has a better home ice advantage than the Preds have.

Some may have just as good, but I doubt anybody has it better. That place was absolutely rocking the whole game.

I feel like we stole one. I thought we were outplayed to loose pucks all night. Referees called an extremely tight game though. We dumped and chased more than I have ever seen us last night.

Actually looking forward to seeing a home game at Nashville in person. The atmosphere seemed to definitely be great, but Ive seen home games in the playoffs in Philly, NY (Rangers), and New Jersey with all of them being some of the best enviroments to watch a game. The Nashville franchise has sure come a long way since 1998.

Interesting that Detroit is so up in arms about this. I thought they had a bit of gut in them after defending Suh's stomping, late hits, throwing QBs, and turning face masks. I really hate everything that comes out of that city.

Any chance we have Gill back by Friday?

If Weber is suspended, I would say that it is almost guaranteed that Gill will be in the lineup on Friday. He would have skated last night, but they held him out, not wanting to aggravate the injury. Even if Weber is in the lineup on Friday, there is a more than great chance Gill plays as well.

We won w/o Rads, Fisher, or Horny playing at their best.. especially Rads and Fisher. That is a good sign. Those guys are going to make their stamp on this series at some point.

from what Boclair from The City Paper said this morning.. he thinks Gill's injury could be worse than everyone thinks. I hope like crazy he is back, if we go down Weber and Gill, we have no size and our defense will take a HUGE hit.

From what I was reading last night and this morning, the injury is more of a case of pain tolerence. You hearing something different?
