I say let him sit the series if possible
We may have no choice but to let him walk. We have Weber, Radulov, and a few others we have to worry about, like Gaustad, and even Gill I believe. Like you said, Suter wants to win(we are, and have been for quite some time), and also wanted to see the team add more players, to get better (which we obviously have). It may come down to giving us a hometown discount, which I don't think he will. He feeds off weber, so I think it will be a mistake on his part if he goes somewhere else. Jmo though.Rads is more likely because he is a RFA. With Suter, he's always said it's about winning. The pessimist in me has always believed he is gone, but I hope that he means what he says. If so we have a good shot a keeping him.
I would say pens/flyers. Didn't luongo struggle in the early rounds last year as well? Not really surprising to see him struggle right now.
It is much more surprising to see the pens fall apart at the seams so bad. The flyers are completely in their heads.
I've seen nothing from Radulov that makes me care if he comes back. Looks lazy, and seems like a headache.
And it will hurt if we lose Suter and Weber. And it will actually affect how I look at the NHL as a new fan. Will it be like the MLB where small market teams suffer, or the NFL where small market teams can hold onto players...
I think Josi has that ability to replace him.
I think so too. Klein has been playing well, also maybe Ryan Ellis will be able to step up next year.
I would like to see them make a competitive offer to Suter...Lets see if he wants to be a Pred. If not I would wish him the best, hes been awesome.
I just hope they don't try to overpay for him.
