Official NFCCG: 49ers @ Seahawks

Did he know that, though? It seems he could've been tapping it back to a SF player. Maybe he has that awareness.

He was that aware. He broke the play down on SVP show. He studies so much film he often knows the play before the snap.

sup tri. Man, he shouldn't have gone over there to him. Plenty of time to talk during the game and to shake hands after. He was doing the same bs he did when that big OL slapped him and he held his arms out like "what did I do?". I love the dude's play on the field.
Showing up crabtree, throwing the choke at sf qb and scaring the shiznit out of Erin Andrews while going on an angry and egotistical rant is weak. Can't really believe it's being defended as much as it is, and it didn't happen between the lines or during the heat of battle.

Are you serious? It's being defended because it wasn't during the game. Sure, the guy had an unorthodox post game interview. But what about Bart Scott? People weren't calling him a thug and an embarrassment to the game after his "can't wait" tirade after a game last year. I have no idea why people are freaking out about this. It's not like Richard Sherman is going to come into your home and yell at you. Is anyone surprised that an NFL player has a huge ego and calls out his opponents. Given the last 20 years of NFL history, that **** is standard. And why the hell does anyone care? Why? I watch the NFL for the game. Why does it matter what is said in the post game interview? Are you mad that someone says they aren't going to Disney World after they win the Superbowl. WHO CARES!?!?

How on earth would he know that a WR didn't do an option route and end up in that area? It's one thing to say he saw that his teammate was the only one there, but according to his own words he said, "I knew a teammate would get it." He didn't say who, because he didn't know who would be there. I'm thinking it was a little bit lucky.

It was skill to be there and disrupt the play, it was luck that his team caught the deflection. He didn't plan that, more than likely it falls to the ground, no one gets it and the Niners run another play.

If Crabtree had caught it, do you think we would have heard from Sherman?

I can just hear it now, "Crabs got lucky, 99 times out of 100 the best CB in the league makes that play. Good luck to the Niners in the Super Bowl." Right?

He's a a jerk but that certainly does not justify any kind of racial comments about what he says and does. Jerks come in all colors and the fact that they act like a douche bag has nothing to do with race.

It was a bit lucky but that secondary studies their opponents every play and tendency. Was he 100% sure that another niner receiver wasn't in the area? No but based on the film he was very confident Crabtree was isolated in that side, he was going to be in man coverage and if the ball was thrown the safety would break to try and help.

I think he did. Plus, it's a fade, so there shouldn't be any other wr near you, but help from lb and safety running to the ball. Other wr's prolly stopped their patterns and are standing/watching.

You are the only one freaking out. He acted like a punk. That's what happened. I could give a flip after @ a minute. My problem, which I have explained multiple times, is the racial **** storm I knew it would cause with his "angry black man" tirade. Why he did it in the first place. Because he's an arrogant and selfish? Attention?
What I see are people that won't even admit he was in the wrong or acted like a punk. At least I'm objective. He's a great player. Love seeing a guy that small play physical. Came from bad background. Went to Stanford. Graduated 3 years. All awesome. He also acted the way he did and brought it all on himself, so instead of blaming everybody else, maybe a little humility is due.

So calling out your opponents in an aggressive manner justifies being called racial slurs? This is akin to saying that rape victims are to blame because they dress provocatively. No logic whatsoever.

Troll. Repost where I said that and gtfo with your garbage.
Freak, this is the kind of **** I'm talking about. And you guys wonder why I go off.

there is no reaction, without an action. Says nothing about deserve and has nothing to do with your dumbass rape comparison. He doesn't deserve the **** that's being said, but the reason it happened was in his control.
If Sherman didn't act like a punk, the predjudiced and racists wouldn't have another platform, but they did and took to social media with hate that we haven't seen in awhile.
If he acts like a man, the reaction is different.

If you and your post like buddies can't understand the topic, it's not my problem

Having posts deleted and calling other posters names isn't freaking out on your part?

I lose patience when dealing with those that can't think. Not quite freaking out Nerd. If you explain something multiple times and one still doesn't get it or prods for the hellofit, I don't know how dumbass or jackass isn't apt.

Seems to me your trying to make the argument he brought it on himself---the racist comments that is.

When so many people are misunderstanding you, maybe your posts aren't reading as you intend them.

or maybe some jump to their own conclusions without reading everything and pick the snippets they want.

He did bring on reactions by his own comments/actions. If he didn't as you say, tell me what brought it on? What was the trigger?
Doesn't mean he deserves it and I never said he did. Not even close. Doesn't mean it isn't pathetic. Doesn't mean it isn't embarrassing, and yes, when I read some of that stuff I get embarrassed. For them, for me. For their kids. For the crud it brings out on both sides.

The whole situation was in his control and he lit a fuse. If he doesn't act like he did in that 30 seconds, none of this happens.
How is that not bringing it on? and how am I part of the problem and a racist for pointing out the obvious?

And question marks don't mean freaking out. More of just thinking of questions and typing as I think, ftr.

You saying he brought it on himself implies that he's at least partially at fault for the racist comments. That's just how I took it.

Nothing personal, but I don't have the energy to get involved in this discussion in depth. I'd rather jab a fork into my forehead, honestly. You guys knock yourselves out though. Just watch the name calling. :)

I'm not saying that you personally are a racist for saying what you have been saying. I'm just making the point that the racist comments made about Richard Sherman for him calling out Crabtree were not really in proportion to what he did. And honestly I didn't find what he did offensive.

I think there's a double standard for what white America deems acceptable behavior from Black professional athletes. The guy was running on adrenaline after making the play to send his team to the Super Bowl. And because he was perceived by white America as aggressive and cocky and loud, then that's unacceptable. Really? You know if a white player, say Rob Gronkowski, did this, then it would be called exciting and in the spirit of competition and laughed off as,"that guy is so lovably zany!" It's just that the blatant hypocrisy is something that bothers me.

I don't disagree with a thing above. They were way out of proportion. I didn't get offended at his actions either. I laughed for a second, then I was just like, oh ****, it's going to get bad and wtf did he just do that?

But it's still a time where the whole scenario was in his control and he blew it. I didn't mean to make that sound as if he deserved the racist stuff he was getting. That would be a ridiculous stance. However, it did occur because of his choice. That's all.

Maybe they should point to actual criminals as people they shouldn't act like instead of people who get their college degrees, never have been arrested, and are the best at what they do, but that's just me.

George Lincoln Rockwell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Check that out, he went to Brown. Never arrested, and received his college degree.(I don't know if he was the best at what he was doing)

Ernst Hanfstaengl - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Another one who graduated from Harvard

From what I have read Sherman scored a 990 on the SAT and he is a communications major.

Pretty difficult studies for Mr. Sherman.
