We needed something there badly. The UT D can't stop ND for the rest of the game.

They need to

I just want to see us make ONE brilliant play.

Is that too much to ask?

YES

It's slowly slipping away. I guess we'll see who makes the better adjustments at the half. I won't say who my money is on.

What I've been told by folks in the AD is that we don't actually have anyone assigned to Special Teams. Idiotically, we have line coaches on the blockers, WR coaches on the secondary returners, and back coaches on returners on return teams, and a similar deal on coverage teams- none of them working together.

If Fulmer could have come up with a better plan for playing idiot to Beamer's genius for ST's, I'd like to hear it.

If you think about it . . . Notre Dame has scored 3 TDs and one of them came on a punt return and another came on what amounted to a jump ball on 3rd and 18 after we fumbled the kickoff and gave them a short field.

Which means our Special teams suck and we always give up big plays on 3rd and long.

At least we can score a little now that #10 is the QB.

I don't see that as the difference- he looks pretty much the same.

The difference is that the O knows that they allowed Sanders to get screwed by their poor performance and Fulmer's refusal to let him run the O unmolested.

yeah, that jump ball was also a no call, stovall had fellows held.

i have to be honest here.

i think if weiss had been coaching our team for the last 4 years and Fulmer and co. were coaching ND in their first year this year, we would be up 21-10.

Turnovers are a killer, they have been all season. As have penalties, which have been a thorn in our side for the last 2-3 years.

I totally agree about our special team situtaion..

I say fire Tropper Taylor, he can't coach runnng backs on how to hold on too the ball, and hire a special teams coach..

Fulmer should call up Bill Bates, all those years playing special teams in Dallas, surely he could come in and make an improvemnt..
