Per 24/7. I'm not going to draw any further conclusions due to Dooley's complete incompetency. For informational purposes only:

Dooley:

2011 #14 with average rating of 88.44
2012 #20 with average rating of 88.22

2017 #15 with average rating of 87.14 (at 11:00 AM CST)

I agree. I'm fairly certain we can sign 25 LOI's. Kristy* seems to think 26. Anything over 25 or 26 would be WO, BS, or GS. Not sure which ones are which.

Blue shirts don't officially get recruited. No official, no visit by coaches. They just show up in the fall and are placed on scholarship. Gray shirts are like early enrollees for the next class. They show up for spring semester in January and are forward counted.

Bkueshirts are forward counted as well.

Not to start anything, but you are correct. Sometimes the recruiting folks follow so closely they lose sight of the big picture/context. We've been "winning"/somewhat close to "winning" with better classes since Dooley. Again not being negative, I actually don't put a ton of stock in rankings AT ALL, but it's hard to proclaim that suddenly one of the worst ranked classes will lead to a great class next year and success in a few years.

If anything the NFL list should make everyone ponder on how we mis-used the talent that we did have, rather than focusing on the talent/lack of talent.

People poo poo Dooley s recruiting even though Butch is no better when he can't sell early playing time as a perk.

I remember when Butch claimed we were on the verge of a top notch recruiting class. Then he committed 6 or 7 3* players in a row leading up to signing day. Actually one is a 2*on Rivals.

Just because a coach says it's true doesn't make it true. Reality really sucks when you live on every word a coach says.

Just included the guys I could think of that are in the NFL. And most of those guys were from once class.
Dooley's down fall was DC hire because that 2012 offense was one of the greatest in UT history. Multiple guys from the OLine in the NFL as well as most of the skill positions.

Go look at the names in those Dooley recruiting classes. Sure, he signed some good guys like Magitt, CP and others. most of those guys tho ended up being terrible. Let's watch and see what 3 stars Butler, Page, Murphy, Bailey, Labruzza, Bennett and others do. Those guys are underrated. Butch wouldn't have even recruited a lot of guys in those Dooley classes

This was going to be the year followed by an epic class today.

Only thing we can do is wait and hope next year is the year and epic class right?

I believe I've got this all figured out.

I will not deny that Dooley could coach some offense. But he left major holes in our offense and defense with his recruiting. Again, see 2013-2014
