Official Oregon versus New Mexico Thread

Darron Thomas isn't bad. The future looks pretty bright in his hands, and if UO is able to take advantage of USC's sanctions, the Ducks should be able to rule the conference for the next decade or so. Just need to recruit better.

Dominate the decade? Maybe a little early to make that prediction?

Cliff Harris with his second punt return for a TD. I think he just got out of Kelly's doghouse. 59-0.....btw, they are playing a lot of backups on purpose. A lot of depth and talent they want to be experienced for when they lose some guys next year. Also, just in case they end up in a title race so the starters have some rest.

Other than USC, I don't think there's another team in the Pac that can consistently compete with the Ducks. With how severe USC's sanctions are, and Kiffin being as daft he is, my hope is that the Ducks take advantage and cement there position atop the conference.

Are they running up the score or what?

If they are just running simple run plays and getting turnovers, that's one thing but if they are still out there throwing... Chip Kelly is kind of a dick.

How are you both an Oregon and Florida fan? Doesn't make much sense...

The last three scores were punt returns for TD's, and a FG.

Simple plays with a lot of backups, and 14 points accounted for by PRs. Oregon looks really good and New Mexico reeaalllly sucks. haha

For all who are disturbed by my fan-hood.

I'm from San Diego, liked the Seattle Seahawks and Oregon Ducks(San Diego doesn't have a premier D1 school) due to having family in the area and those being their teams of choice. Moved from San Diego due to the Military(moved around a bit), and became a Gator fan because of SOS. Oh, and I'll probably be moving back out west in the spring to attend U of O. Spring or fall. :ermm:

By the way, you live in Denver yet you're a fan of the Seattle Mariners, Tennessee Titans, and Montreal Canadians, yet you critique the geographic locations of the teams I'm a fan of? Kind of hypocritical.

Over. Oregon's already been giving the backups 50/50 playing time.

59-0 at half? I can't remember a beating like that since Texas obliterated Colorado in '05.

I'll up the ante.

It'd be nice to see a team put up a near 100. I seriously doubt they approach that score though. I wouldn't be surprised to see 80+.

For a team that has only won the Pac-10 once recently, it is ignorant to assume no one in the Pac-10 could keep up with them. I am not saying they won't be very good and win a lot but dominating... not so much.

FWIW I think Chip Kelly is going to more or less have his way with the Pac-10 until he gets smacked with sanctions. That's just the type of coach he is.

so what do you if oregon plays florida?

just wondering. that's the main reason the fan of 2 team thing doesn't make much sense to me.......at least for 2 teams both in major division 1 conferences.

I honestly don't know, probably root for Oregon as I'll be a student by the time that happens. That and the Oregon fan base is far more personable. The Gator fan base can be quite arrogant and annoying at times.

But they two teams have never had to play each other, so I've never been faced with the dilemma. Luckily.

50+ against New Mexico.

We put 63 on WKU, we should have obliterated UCLA the next week last year...oh wait...

We'll be fine and look even better when we beat Oregon.

14 points have come off of punt returns and many many others off the run game, he is breaking in a new QB as you are. It isn't like he is throwing every play. He is having him run the offense and prepare for the season as the starter. Isn't that what tuneups are for? Please don't be a hypocrite as I am sure Tennessee has beat the holy crap out of plenty of small schools in their time. As you all have point out you have more history so I think you probably have more beatdowns than we do:eek:k: Get over yourself.....and prepare for a what is going to a hell of a game shoved down your throat next saturday:)

I don't quite consider it ignorant. I'm sure if both Bama and Florida were slapped with serious sanctions and UT was coming off a conference title you'd carry a similar line of thought.

And the only reason Oregon has only won the conference once is solely due to the presence of USCw. Without them lingering above our heads, I believe we would have won it a few more times last decade. If Dennis Dixon wouldn't have gotten hurt, we would have won it a few years back.

If if if.

Face it, Oregon (and the rest of the conference for that matter) usually aren't good enough to take it unless USC takes themselves out of the race.
