They only have 13 mins of possession so far through the game.

we have been dead last in TOP the last two years.....this year will be no different since they are running plays at a faster rate than I have ever seen.

72-0 Ducks.

I sure hope our first teamers are as on as they were today next Saturday (plus LMJ).

50+ against New Mexico.

We put 63 on WKU, we should have obliterated UCLA the next week last year...oh wait...

We'll be fine and look even better when we beat Oregon.

i'm going a bit out on a limb here, but there's just a bit of a difference between an unranked tennessee doing well against a team only in its second year at the I-A level (yeah they were pretty much I-AA)

And a pretty much top 10 team beating the snot (to the point of being up 59-0 at half) out of a I-A team, especially the way this went down

Just got back from the game, it was pretty fun to watch, the stadium was full, but not its loudest, and the ducks got a W and some game experience! Go Ducks!

In a sense, we're kind of like Tennessee. A pretty good team, located in a state with very little high school talent, while being in close proximity to a state or states that are overflowing with pig skin riches. If Chip Kelly could somehow get his foot in the door in California, and establish a consistent base of talent, Oregon COULD be a consistent top 10 team.

But no, we'll never be USC.

47 of Oregon's 105-man roster are from California... What do you mean Kelly can't recruit in California? It's not that we can't get recruits from Cali, it's that we're getting larger numbers of national recruits from Texas, Florida, Arizona, etc.. Californians call the University of Oregon "UC Eugene" for a reason.

they have done great considering almost all of their recruiting comes from outside the state. They don't give anymore than two or three schollys in-state in any given year. Let's face it, this state is full of white people. They also don't get the cream of the crop like the big timers but they are improving year by year and are starting to really get their fare share and still haven't peaked. The thing they have going for them is they develop better than most. They will make a two/three star into a player in college. Just think how good they can be when they don't even offer two stars because their profile has risen........

What does that matter? The majority of Oregon's football team is white (like 55-65%). Big deal...

And as for development, although I agree that Oregon's athletic facilities and our coaches provide excellent development, I also strongly believe that Oregon coaches have been excellent at judging talent and potential while signing some of the lower-ranked recruits that we have (for example, Patrick Chung was a 2-star recruit and we chose to start him as a true freshman over others).

Milo, I can only assume you've been taking in too much of drunkoski's garbage.

You've "heard" that CK doesn't have high regard for the compliance office?

Ok...

As for "dominating" the Pac 10...
IMO the days of one team dominating this conference are over.

- Tedford is finally getting his facilities
- Oregon is getting serious traction across the country and has possibly the strongest BRAND in the conference now
- Stoops has serious momentum in AZ
- Harbaugh has turned everything around at Stanford
- Sark is seriously raising the recruiting profile at UW
- Weasle is recruiting pretty well

Recruiting in this conference, today, is considerably tougher than it was in say, 2003. And I suspect it's only going to get more difficult.

After all this time, I'm still not sure what to make of Tedford. Harbaugh is doing very well at Stanford, but one can only take that program so far, and I'm sure a high profile program will be making him a very wealthy man soon. Like end of this season soon. Sark has brought UW out of the gutter, but I don't think he can bring them out of mediocrity. I would be surprised to see Stoops deliver a conference title to Tucson.

What makes you think I've been listening too much to Droski? I think more highly of UofO football than he does. I legitimately believe that they will be the best program in the Pac-10 for the next 4-5 years, with OSU, Zona and USC playing 2nd fiddles. Not to the extent that Carroll owned the conference. But simply looking at the way Kelly handles things, I would be surprised if UofO football doesn't end up in some hot water in that time frame.

Milo, you should at least give us some west coast karma love with changing your Mariners team logo to Vols for a week. It's not like the M's are going anywhere for the next few months.
