You know they have stemmed glasses in many German beerhauses, ja?

Nein, I didn't spent four years in Germany.

Some of the local brews came in stemmed glasses, mainly pilsners. Bitburger (or AKA the PBR of Germany) came from the tap in traditional stemmed glasses. And that's where I learned that different glasses and bottle shapes make beers taste different. And discovered my love of weiss glasses. Nothing was helping the mortar shell 1L Bitburger bottles though...

I have no problem with lambics. Just anything corked and drank in a wine glass isn't "beer" any longer. :p

Would have loved to had you caught me a few days ago. Unfortunately, I let everything go last weekend so I'm having to do double duty today and tomorrow with yard work and helping a friend clear out some property.

How long are you in town?

Hey GV, I completely understand that. We're getting up early Monday and heading back towards TN.

Grand, how did you wind up in OKC? Would you move to TN if conditions were favorable?

Yeah, thought about that after I posted it. I don't drink either to be honest.

Ill drink red's wicked. Apple ale and ciders always seem to be overpriced, I guess because they're growing in popularity. I'm hooked on cider because it has the crispness that I remember some cheaper premium domestics used to have. Not sure if some breweries started changing their recipes, or my taste buds changed.

I get blueberry flavored herb periodically, you could try that.

Retired out here and liked it despite the horrific weather. Low cost of living, cheap property, good people (a lot like East Tennessee folks) and a good support base for my semi-retired lifestyle.

I would consider moving to Tennessee so long as it's Knoxville or east. Just depends on the job and where it happened to be. While Oklahoma is nice, it's not Tennessee.

Some of the rural folk here might not be quite like you remember..

I would go crazy without mountains, so the MW is out for me(for the most part). Its kinda cool to think how widespread vol fans are these days.

Amazing how that works. Glass shape can make a huge difference in how wine tastes. The difference is sometimes striking.

What the property cost like out there?

I've been looking at land around here for a little bit so I have my own hunting plot and something to hand down to my boys when I kick the bucket. Some of the prices are unreal.

I've never drank lambics from a stemmed glass, but whatever. Its damn good beer. Unlike most of the mass produced, tasteless, lady beer.

My place, if bought across the state line in Arkansas, would be 50,000 higher. Oklahoma land prices are very reasonable.

I've been looking at places in middle Tennessee for myself as well, and you are right, it's high.

Why in all the world would you want to live anywhere near VU?

Chattanooga.

Nashville is last resort.

Middle Tennessee is a Broad term here. Lol.

Nashville or Davidson county and the surrounding counties are booming right now. Property value is out the roof. I have people moving into more rural areas simply because it's getting unaffordable.

How you making out anyway? (Slangin booze)

I ain't tended bar in quite some time. I've just been in and out of investment meetings, working on craft cocktail mixing, and working out.

Although that last one is hampered. I was hit by a truck yesterday while biking. The fraildick just sped off.

Sometimes I really despise people. Sorry you were hit, but glad you (apparently) were not badly injured.
