Coaching expectations are almost unrealistic now. I mean 9 wins is a damn good season. I would love for us to consider 9 wins a down year again.

That is hard to believe. He won 9 games this year, has only had 1 losing season, 6 seasons ago with an average W-L record of 9.66 - 3.4

I'm starting to wonder if we may start seeing some of the more tenured coaches jumping ship on their school to try to get a fresh start and avoid the embarrasment of not getting a chance to retire at their school

Yes sir.

There are lots of names getting tossed around

From kiffen to chip kelly.

Oh PLEASE let it be Kiff. Maybe he can keep his promise to Eric Berry of never letting Georgia win over the Vols as long as he's coaching.

Kiffin would be dangerous in GA.

If he couldn't hack it at USC, with that recruiting advantage, I dont know if we need to be concerned about him in Georgia. He showed here that he doesn't quite have the tact to talk to southern mothers and grandmothers.

His team at USCw was on probation. Kiffin was at a disadvantage. GA sits in the middle of one of the best recruiting areas in the nation. I personally hope they hire Smart. I think he will be a failure as HC.

I'd like to think Tennessee set that in motion.

Imo he had 5 years to win a national title or he was gone anyway. He would've had to win the east every year just to get that 5 years. They probably feared he'd screw around and win the east next year, so they took advantage of his struggles this year, lol.

The Fulmer- Richt comparison works for the overhaul record, however the last few years of their tenure Richt was faring much better.

Fulmer had two 5 win seasons his last 4 years with a record of 29 -21

Richt's worse season in the last 4 years was 8 wins. With a record of 39 - 13.
His only losing season was 6-7 in 2010.

Richt is leaving a program loaded with talent that can compete for the SEC Championship in 2016.

Fulmer left a depleted roster and a program in decline .

Big difference.
