Ill suspect I'll be traveling thru memphis regularly once McDaughter starts college.

Perhaps we can meet up there, too.

Get ya some of "Gus's Fried Chicken" while in Memphis at the Mendenhall Road location. Dang it is good.

I grew up outside of Memphis and I've never heard of Gus's fried chicken.

Is mendenhall still a safe area?

I've been to the downtown location and the Mendenhall location , never been shot at. I don't think Memphis is as scary as some say it is. I have never been scared in Memphis. I have been in some scary areas in Atlanta, Detroit and Cleveland.

Recently?

We used to go eat at the butcher shop on front street (I think) and it was ok.

Last time I went to Memphis to see Tennessee play Memphis there were cops in full tactical gear at the gates. Spooked me some.

All I have done recently is play on VN. I use to do business with a couple of places in Memphis and one in West Memphis. I rather be downtown Memphis than in West Memphis. I was always leary over there.
