This is the Arkie river in Fort Smith. A marina broke loose from the rain and is pinned under the bridge.

today is bring your oar and kayak to work day. A few roads with a couple inches of water on it early this morning. and to everyone's surprise Atlanta has already named them all "Peachtree Creek". days like this make me glad I have a second pair of shoes at work.

Has anyone else here dumped cable? I'm considering doing this for a few months after the Vols play on January 1

Cable is crap all around. Plenty of streaming options out there if you wanted to go that route like OB. Xbmc/kodi with an android streaming box are great options. I prefer satellite.

Why? What's the back story to your problem w/cable?

save some extra cash, pay some other bills ,etc. I enjoy Comcast, don't get me wrong but my cable bill right now is obscene.

I just hate missing sports and the thought of returning the cable box sounds like a pain in my @ss.

Suggestion.
Go purchase an inexpensive indoor antenna, do the free trial to Netflix or whatever service you may want and give it a try a couple of weeks before turning your cable off.

For me personally I could get by with all the local channels I could get from the Knoxville stations with the exception of football season but I live just a little too far away to pick them up. If I lived closer I would drop my cable in a heartbeat

Yes. You'll save some jack for sure by dropping cable. I pay way too much for it a month...even "when you bundle".
