We have had dinner once and we talked. I believe she now understands better about the position I was put in. But, we shall see.

I have had brother I n law come with his wife and 2 kids to move in with us because he was evicted. Twice. Both times it was supposed to be for a few weeks...ended up a couple months. If you're keeping score that's 4 kids and 4 adults in a 1400 sf house.

First time was rocky and I only got thru it with a lot of prayer. Really put distance between me and my wife, obviously. I was I n the same situation you guys mentioned where his work was slow and I am working 6 days a week like always while an able bodied guy the exact same age as me is sitting around Mt house all day rent free.

Second time I laid down a ground rule. Toldy wife I expected absolutely nothing from them as far as money..she could see that they pulled their weight with chores..but that THE FIRST TIME that she and I had conflict or got in an argument because of them...they were gone. We made b it about 6 weeks...wife and I got in an argument...she knew what time it was and they were gone within a week. SHE asked them to go. There were a little bit of hurt feelings but our marriage survived intact. Just a suggestion.

Now, fast forward to present , said BIL ..now has 3 kids he can't support and another 1 on the way...and are currently 2 months behind on rent because of dope use. My wife said "I don't know what he's going to do because he sure isn't coming here again." Mission accomplished.

I am a shirt off the back kind of guy. Got a soft spot for homeless, etc
People in need. I can't continue to bail out the same person over and over because they buy dope instead of paying remt. This is the same cat that takes all his kids Christmas presents from others back to Walmart after Christmas to get dope money. Not in my house. 5hey stole all kinds of crazy last time they were here and my wife knew it.

I admire you Marcus for doing the right thing

I learned the hard expensive way when drugs are involved, you can't help financially. If you try all you are doing is enabling their addiction. It is very hard but the best thing to do is tell them you will help get help (rehab) but you have no money to give them. I have been told and from what I have seen they have to hit rock bottom before they quit. I don't think there is a family in America that does not have an alcoholic or addict somewhere in their extended family.

anyone that's gone through seeing a loved one hit rock bottom knows exactly what you mean. The ones that bounce back are much fewer in numbers than those that continue down that road.

There's a guy that works for me that makes beard oils on the side. He gave me a small bottle of the coconut scent for Christmas. I've been using it for about a month now and I must say this stuff is awesome.

What is the purpose of this stuff?

Just for smell and conditioning, or?
