Well that was exhausting, except for this last portion where they’re allowed to speak without being interrupted.

Trump may not have been there, but you could easily see his influence by the way everyone debated… err interrupted… and yelled at each other. I would really like to see at least one of the candidates take a more mature approach (Burgum was close… which is one of the reasons he probably did better than most expected) instead of thinking they have to yell to get their point across. We’re supposed to support a Presidential candidate who can’t even follow the simple rules of a debate???

And to that end, I would strongly encourage future debates to put in place a system where microphones can (and would) be cut off after running over by 5 – 10 seconds. These are not debates of intelligence, political positions, and competence at all… but rather debates on who can yell the loudest and talk over the other person.
