Official Seed List Watch Party Thread

I've not actually watched him today. Is he as insistent we are a three as he was last year? He really went out of his way last year on both Saturday and Sunday to say we were locked in as a three and beating UK head to head didn't matter, they were locked as a 2 and winning the SEC didn't matter either. He probably said it a dozen times over the weekend last year.

He’s posted 2 updated brackets and both have us as 11, so not even the last 3 seed 🤷🏻‍♂️

It sure seems like you’ve got Kansas State, Tennessee and UCONN battling for two 3 seeds and one 4 seed, everyone seems to pretty much agree with that take across the brackets. So watching the selection show hope to see 1 of those go as a 4 seed early on and that will increase our chances as a 3.

In all seriousness does it really matter if this team is a 3 seed or a 4? Or even a five? They are going to have to somehow get red hot shooting the ball, and if they don’t do that they aren’t getting out of first weekend. If they do do that, with this defense, the sky’s the limit.

This team doesn’t have to be red hot shooting to be a 13 or 14 seed, please get real.

In that scenario, I just can't see how Tennessee gets the benefit of doubt, minus ZZ. And frankly, we don't deserve it based on the last 6 weeks. KSU has a better record in a better conference with wins over Baylor, Iowa State, and TCU in that span. TCU has probably played us even on the floor in terms of wins/losses in that span, but didn't suffer a crippling injury.

Everything helps. I am satisfied with the sweet 16 and being a 3 is quite a bit better than being a 4. 3 seeds have an almost 20 percent better chance of making the SS vs 5 seeds and almost 10 percent better than 4 seeds.

The team is maddening over the last month but have beaten Kansas and Alabama without significant pieces playing. So hope springs eternal, even if it seems in the face of logic.

Houston and Memphis must have sinned something awful to get punished with Doug Shows AND Pat Adams calling this game

I don’t disagree, just painting the picture.
