I gotta assume the Vols are a stone cold #1 seed lock, after today ? I mean, at this exact moment in time ?

Damnit, Mookie, that's why I added that last line. When UT moves up to #1 after we beat Florida and Auburn, that puts the pressure on Vitelo and the BaseVols, but we will get there. Then all the pressure moves to Heup, back to back years of all 3 of the major sports at #1 is a very real possibility

For us to be on the 1 seed line at the end of the year, it will come down to this three game stretch IMO…

vs Bama
@ Kentucky
@ TAMU

This is a pretty tough stretch of games with UK and A&M being on the road directly after a midweek game vs Bama. If we go 2-1, I believe we’ll win enough the rest of the way to land on the 1 seed line. Auburn on the road last game of the season may just be the determining factor when it’s all said and done.

Looks doable to me. 3-0 wouldn’t shock me, honestly. It’s hard to believe we get swept by UK. Bama has clearly shown cracks in the armor. Not scared of TAMU at all, honestly.

I could pretty easily see: 3-0, 2–1, or 1-2. Going to need to bring out A game.

3-0 in that stretch would solidify us as a 1 seed for sure (unless we collapse vs teams we shouldn’t). I believe we can afford to lose 2 more games (maybe 3 depending on other teams) and still be in good position to lock up a 1 seed. There is a lot of parody in CBB this year. Just gonna enjoy the ride, bc we all know how fast it ends.

Is Tennessee a team that is a better hunter or are they a better team being hunted.

I do like this team playing with a chip on their shoulder vs not.

I’d like to hang around #2 or #3 for a while. Make a push to carry #1 into the post season. Opponents on the road in the SEC might have just a bit more motivation when #1 comes to town versus #2 or #3. Some somewhat sleepy road games will make it less of a grind through February.
