In CBP's last year we were actually a #9 seed.........and the year before that, may I remind you that the Vols went to the Elite 8. Nevertheless, a 9 seed is better than CCM's NCAAT's resume thus far.....
It's hard for me to consider this as making the tournament. Say what you will but Cuonzo did the absolute bare minimum with possibly the best team he will have during his tenure at UT.
This actually was a pretty accurate seeding based on RPI's. All the lower tiered conference champions are guaranteed non-play in games so if you're a major and your RPI is in the 40's or 50's you are competing probably for a play-in game. You have to be under a 40 to probably get a non play in game the way they did it. I think its pretty fair.
No, we wouldn't. 2 of the 16 seeds that play in the Dayton play-in games, so they would've been spread out across the bracket and taken away the last 4 in, which includes UT.
