Everyone expected UT to go to the NCAAT this year and they are....with the amount of talent theyre losing next year....no one expects them to go next year.....why would he get blown out?

A tournament run this year would help his cause. Whatever happens next year, Cuonzo is responsible for the roster he puts on the floor, regardless of how high or low media expectations are.

I guess CCM will puff his chest and talk about how great of a job he and his Vols did to make the "play-in" game. Then he will go after that raise and extension.

So i guess it was ok for Bruce to play Tennessee for a raise when they floated the Memphis job to them?

That's the sad part. If he isn't capable of getting it done he needs to go. Hell I'm not a neurosurgeon. You think they might pay me for a couple years to give it a try? Everyone has their own gifts and abilities. Being a top level bb coach is not his and he should accept that

I agree with this but there is one caveat. You have to pay top dollar to hire the best neurosurgeon. Is Hart/UT willing to pay up and get a better coach? If he isn't, then this is probably the best (in terms of records/achievement) we can hope for. The best players want to play for the best coaches.
