Official South Carolina at Tennessee Game 3 Thread - 2 PM - ESPN3

Honestly, maybe this is why Stallings hasn't had a start this year? I don't remember who asked that, but here's the answer.

Not sure if the radar gun is correct but I was under the impression Stallings threw a lot harder than what is showing.

This may not be popular, but if you have lost 2 games and are trying to avoid the sweep, how do you not have a 2nd arm ready? You let one reliever give up 7 runs before going to get him. That screams throwing in the towel and letting one guy eat the damage.

I've said it before, Serrano has had some of the worst game management regarding bringing in pitchers in his time here. Whether it's leaving a guy in way too long (most of the time because you don't have a guy tossing. No harm in getting a guy loose even if you don't need him) to yanking a guy cruising Friday.

The thing I don't get is that Stallings pitched 1 Inning on Friday, faced 8 batters, gave up 4 hits and 3 earned runs. If we are supposed to be deep, where are some of the other guys?

I'm with you. Give Schultz, Serrano (if available), Westphal, Darling or somebody else a shot.
