Official Tennessee at Georgetown Game Thread 6:30pm EST ESPN

Well...that was rough. Hopefully none of our future opponents will play in the zone against us.

UT will see lots more zone after this laughably bad offensive performance. Those last two shots were embarrassing: That's what bad teams do when the pressure is on: make two passes on the perimeter and heave one up.

I am so ready for my school to be good at something! We have had some really bad luck. I mean, we got money, facilities, tradition, etc.... Why can't we just succeed.

I have 4 boys, all under 12, that don't know the Tennessee that I did growing up. As they get older, it's going to get harder and harder to keep them off the bandwagon unless our teams start stepping up.

High school kids now (born in late 90's) were probably about 8-10 when they really started paying attention to sports. That's 2006-2008 timeframe.

Recruiting is only going to get harder with these young kids if we dont make a turn-around in the major sports.

Rant over.

As horrible as that was, if Maymon was in there I really do think it would have been a different game. Our offense goes through him. No one else down low trusts themselves to take control and make a shot. Every time the ball went to Stokes, you just knew it was either coming right back out or he was going to lose it in a turnover. And no one else was about to pick up the slack except for Golden. We desperately need Maymon back.

Doesn't look like he's coming back anytime soon. CCM's lack of recruiting is already showing up.

Good review. Anybody else disappointed in stokes? I thought after an offseason he would be more dominant.

If you practice enough it becomes second nature. That is one of the coaches jobs, Memphis lost the NC because of free throws.

That is the one part of basketball that you learn and feel while growing in the game. Your stroke is developed over 10+ years outside, in the gym, etc. Ray Allen and JJ Redick aren't phenomenal at FTs because of coaching in college. Not CCMs fault.

Kinda hard to score when you don't get the ball. He took one shot in the 2nd half and that was an airball as the shot clock was expiring. Blame Golden and the wings. It's kind of hard to feed yourself the ball.
