Official Tennessee at Georgetown Game Thread 6:30pm EST ESPN

No, I think the troll is a person who creates a thread called "good bye cuonzo" before SEC play even begins last year and seems to take more joy in UT losing than when they win. Hey Pot, say hello to Kettle.

If you actually think Martin drew up a play for McBee to take a fall away 3 then you are even more clueless than I originally thought. Georgetown had four 6' 8" to 6' 9" guys that Golden or no other wing could get the ball past all game long. This team doesn't have a guard or a forward who can take over the game against good teams. McRae has the talent, but would rather settle for an easy outside shot.

Even if UT hits the outside shot to win the game it isn't going to solve their problem of needing a consistent wing night in and night out. With Maymon out, that is almost 13 points and 8 boards that this team is missing out on every night. It's late Nov and no one has stepped up to replace him and probably won't. Maybe you would be better off cheering for another team.

You always resort to the "more clueless than I originally thought" line. Yet you you blame the players for not running what was called. Do you realize either Martin is drawing up the desperation end of game 3's or drawing up plays his team can't execute? Either way, it's on him.

Very glad to hear that you're going to the game. Please do a favor for me. Be sure to boo the Georgetown pep band. Try to incorporate their tutti sections being lackluster and void of direction.
I did the best I could, Chris. My seat was actually right next to that crappy band.

A few things about the game from my low vantage point:

Seemed like they were playing on a midget court with big, long armed people all over it. There just didn't appear to be any space anywhere for the players on either team.

One ref kept calling away from the ball body fouls over and over. I think he had a quota to reach.

The home fans weren't very passionate. They acted like they just "stopped by" on their way home from work.

Their T-shirt shooting gun is really good. Must be an upgraded model. And their two guys twirling their crayon-like Hoya signs were pretty good at it.

They honored their sailing championship team at half time. They've won it eight times now - who knew.

Game was ugly, but we had a lot of fun.

It's funny because I've been staring game threads a lot longer than the losers bto and Yankee vol have been members.

But who cares, those special kids can have their circle jerk fun.

It's funny because I don't remember seeing you start one in the 2+ years I've been posting

Exactly! Long armed basketball players is a dumb remark..last time I checked half the SEC teams have guys with long arms and play zone. :eek:lol:

Have you ever been on a court against a team with four guys at 6'8 at the same time? That equals long arms in a zone, vs UT playing zone with 4 guys under 6'7, and 2 under 6'3 up top where penetration occurs and passing lanes open and close.

Because every damn time you post, you seem to outdo yourself with yet another mind numbingly stupid post.

You keep thinking that was the play Martin had drawn up for them. Maybe you need to give credit to a pretty damn good team. Or yet, go cheer for another team since Martin pisses you off so much.

It's obvious you've never player or coached a basketball game in your life.

Freak should make posters take an IQ test before registering. Maybe then we can filter out some of the buffoons.

An IQ test is expressed every time someone's vocabulary fails them and they resort to name calling and insults.

So Martin is drawing up plays his players can't execute. Thanks for answering the question.

that statement makes it appear to me that you never played or coached, yet act like you know what both are about.

If plays were executed perfectly, noone would stop anybody. In basketball, you have to have someone, preferably a quick pg with handles, that can isolate or pick and roll and break down the D when the play isn't executed properly. Could have been a bad play call. Could have been execution. Could be a tipped pass that breaks up the set. Something as simple as that.

Not having a pg that can break down the D and kick out or pass on the interior will cost UT until we get one. It's the most important position in college ball. Ask ky last year. Ask Indiana this year. Ask ky this year. Ask Tn since CJ

Yes, because every time a coach draws up a play the players always execute it 100% of the time. Do you even know how ridiculous and stupid your argument is? Apparently not.

Watching our last sets over the last two seasons in close games tells the tale. We walk it up the court, one guy stands on the lower block, two in each corner, and two guys throw it back and forth 40 ft from the basket. No drive, no screen, no semblance of anything other than setting up a last second heave.

Either that is the plan or there continues to be massive communication failure on what guys do to give us a shot at getting the ball around the basket.
