AJ Johnson is finally getting some love and it is great to see! He has had to endure the DD years and came through it with more tackles in the last 2 years than almost any NCAA player. :rock:
We are DAM LUCKY to have him!! JMO.

I just watched it again. He definitely mentioned Worley, Dobbs, Peterman and Riley Ferguson. Try to keep up Jesse. :)

sure were a lot of people slamming AJ for his slowness last yr. So we need to show him support and love.

AJ seems like a great young man, extremely humble.

AJ: what do you see your legacy as now and what do you want it to be when you leave a year from now? A: Man I just want to go out and play hard with my team and be a winner, I want to work hard and play football, I really don't care about no legacy!

I am looking forward to this season. Seems like all the leaders are only talking about the "team" and the "I" attitude is going to be unexceptable talk. I believe we might actually have a few leaders on the field this year. So pumped for football time in Tennessee.

I remember something like that, but not sure if it was Jesse or not. :dunno:

Regardless, it's not like we're talking about a tight end or something (no offense to any tight ends reading this). He should know which quarterbacks are still in school and competing for the starting job.

JONES: We will have to replace half of our football roster. It’s brought so much momentum for program.

JONES: We are the only school in the country that has to replace the entire OL and DL . We have maintain a winning focus week in and out.

JONES: We have to win 1 moment at a time. We have to have 1 unity and purpose. We have to have 1 mindset. We have to earn the right to win.

JONES: @aj_thebeast_45 @CurtMaggitt @ClamCrowder57 have earned the right to be here with leadership qualities.

(mentions the "power of one" again).

JONES: The whole key for us, is how do we manage the natural adversities of being student-athletes, everything that embodies it.

JONES: We have great team chemistry. I am looking forward to starting practice on Aug. 1. How quickly can we jump the learning curve.

JONES: @CurtMaggitt is the leader of our football team. He was a leader last season, but he wasn’t able to participate. He’s a presence.

JONES: We have the best fan base in the country. We are totally aligned. UT has so much to offer. Its only a matter of time.

JONES: We have 6 legacy players who played at UT. We want individuals who understand the rivalries and traditions of Tennessee.

JONES: What makes college football special are traditions and rivalries. It’s in our DNA at Tennessee and Alabama.

Interesting that Jones referred to Maggitt as THE leader of our football team.
